Booked the Aurora Soho for Saturday evening, we came early as we were all hungry and served by the excellent Eric who was very knowledgeable and friendly. Had 4 starters to share, squid, cauliflower, bread and the stand out dish tuna. 4 different pastas as main and all were very tasty, couple of limoncello to finish which would have tasted... More

Service was slow but the waiters were very attentive! This food was the closest to Italy I've ever had in the states. Being the Bolognese connoisseur that I am, this was the best hands down!! The antipasti was mostly fish as it is in Italy! The Burrata was amazing. Absolutely loved the atmosphere, quite a large space for Soho. One... More

Aurora is rainbow in Italian. And yes this place was like finding a rainbow. This place gets 5 stars because all 6 of us really enjoyed the food. Except skip the coffee. Coffee is not fresh brewed and neither is the expresso. The place is a little pricy but worth it. The ambiance and service is great. The servers are... More

Great place for dinner, casual; a lovely rustic setting. We were a table of five, but keep it in mind for a romantic night out for two. The noise level was unexpectedly high, I wasn't prepared for that after reading some of the other reviews. Food was very good with the exception of one entree. We shared a few appetizers,... More

My fifth visit and even better than the last time. Brilliant wine list. The scallop special was clever, inventive and delicious.

Aurora SoHo has become my new favorite place to meet up with friends in NYC. It's quintessential SoHo with its brick walls and dark hardwood floors. It's small and cozy and dimly lit, without being too dark. It's a very calm and welcoming atmosphere with a small bar upfront and away from the dining tables, as well as a tiny... More

This is a wonderful Italian restaurant in West Soho. We had wonderful salads and pastas, including burrita with heirloom tomatoes and a homemade fettucine with osso bucco. The waiters were friendly and effective. Bravo.

Staying in SoHo

Neighbourhood Profile
Once the artistic hub of New York City, SoHo (South of Houston) is now one of the premiere shopping destinations in the world. Housing everything from the most popular luxury brands to swank boutiques you won’t find anywhere else, this is a sophisticated shopper’s dream come true. Broadway teems with big-name stores and people during the day, while Prince and Spring Streets are the other main drags to explore by foot. Take a detour down the quieter side streets to see the real star of the district –majestic cast-iron architecture everywhere you look. What were once warehouses and art studios are now meticulously restored loft buildings favored by many of New York’s celebrities, making SoHo one of the trendiest addresses in the city. The pretty streets of Nolita (North of Little Italy) offer a more sedate vibe, with plenty of tiny boutiques and hip restaurants to seek out.
