We got together to celebrate 3 birthdays and 2 graduations with every in town coming from 3 states. The bottomless brunch includes unlimited sangria, bloody Mary's, monitors, margaritas or mimosas. The entrees were good. A few of us went for the lobster Benedict a $2 up charge, but worth it. The pulled pick, Cuban sandwich and the French toast were all... More

The food was great, but the service was mediocre at best. Had a reservation, we had to wait about half hour with the rest of the people who had reservations at the front door in the cold! It's such a tiny restaurant that when you are seated you're practically on top of each other. On top of that we were... More

I went once with a group of 20 for someone's birthday. Had gotten a groupon but couldn't use it the day of the birthday dinner. I wasn't only one that had done same. Then my boyfriend and I decided to go back to use the groupon. We went back and it was the Sat before Mother's day so they said... More

Worst experience ever Hostess/manager is very rude felt like I came to her house unannounced begging for food I don't mind music being loud as long as you have a decent sound system in place Not some cheap speakers stuffed in every possible hole I was bleeding from ears the whole time I was there. Forget about having a conversation.... More

One of our party was gluten free and had looked at the menu ahead of time. It looked like there were many dishes that could be gluten free. Only to be told that all their marinades and sauces contain gluten and almost nothing (one tough skirt steak and one chicken with lettuce) could be ordered by someone gluten free. All... More

I just came here for the appetizers, having walked by in the middle of the day and seen the place to be empty. In the evenings there can be quite a wait to get into this place so i went and ordered the fried yucca, fried plaintains and the 'cubanito' coffee - all my Cuban favorites. The service was very... I'll start with that when our group was seated, the server handed my friend his pad and pen and instructed her to take the drink orders. There's a few options on what pitchers you can get, and our vote was definitely in favor of the white wine sangria. Drinks aren't great, but it's a bottomless brunch, so expectations should be... I've been hearing about this Cuban spot for the better part of 3 years. So when the opportunity arrived to dine there, I seized it. Needless to say, I had high expectations. I wasn't disappointed but I certainly wasn't wowed either. Their champagne sangria was really good however, the food was just ok. If I were to suggest a definite... More

1st off I had a groupon and when to try the place... I do so every several weeks the restaurants. We got into the restaurant and nice small place (cute) we were greeted by a lady whom told us we can seat any where we liked... only to then be told to seat else where... strange since we didn't want... Very bad service. My kids wanted to have some good Cuban food and the lady /owner name Patricia refused service because of kids. I ask her why is she refusing service because of kids its a restaurant and she stated she didn't care and cursed at me and that I can leave since I'm getting upset. She sat at least... More

Staying in East Village

Neighbourhood Profile
East Village
There’s still an independent vibe to the East Village, which offers plenty of unique small businesses catering to longtime New Yorkers and area college students alike. The East Village retains a bit of the old-time neighbourhood feel that you can still experience today thanks to a mix of locally-owned shops, cozy restaurants, and lively bars. The scale of the residential blocks makes this a wonderful place to wander up and down the streets searching for the newest hip spot, or an old-school favorite. In the center of the neighbourhood, Tompkins Square Park serves as a gathering point for the New Yorkers that call the East Village home. The people-watching here is hard to beat.
