My friends and I were advised to try a Mexican while in New York. This spot provided a great atmosphere, lively vibe. Great food and portions were just right. My cousin a native New Yorker had never been and was very impressed. highly recommend that you give it a visit.

The place was an amazing find just steps from the Museum of Natural History. The food is so fresh and great margaritas! The chicken soup was delicious. The quesadillas were so cheesy and the fajitas were amazing. Huge portions and a great value. If u want authentic Mexican food please stop.

Stopped here before the Natural History Museum. Don't eat Mexican very often, but I can say it was definately the best I've ever had. Highly recommend if you are in the area

The food here is great, and they are very accommodating. The guacamole is fantastic, and when the table wanted to share it for an appetizer, our server offered up the "mild" version for two less adventurous eaters, with a small dish of jalepeno peppers to add for the one who wanted it "hot." The soups were delicious, and the quesadillas... More

Great guacamole, delicious Margaritas. Can be crowded at rush hour/brunch. Worth coming at an off hour. Right across the street from the Museum of Natural History. Excellent day in the city.

The guacamole was for sure the best part and the reason why I am giving 4 stars to this place. I have soup & enmolada, the soup was too simple and the enmolada was a little weird for me, it was a mix of cocoa and black beans, I'm not sure if I like it. My friends ordered tacos &... More

We made a reservation but got there very early and they still acommodated us even though the restaurant was very full. Its a small restaurant but cozy and authentic, perfect for family meals, friends outing or a romantic meal if you don't mind the festive atmosphere. The staff are tentative and friendly. The restaurant was full but we were not... More

If you are a Mexican who longs REAL Mexican food or someone who wants to know what REAL Mexican food tastes like. Hands down, this is the closest you can get to actually eating in Mexico. Excellent food, excellent vibe, reasonable prices.

This restaurant is an upscale Mexican restaurant. While pricey for Mexican food, the ambiance was so nice, the food was really great, and the wait staff was really nice and there was no rushing us out even though the restaurant was croweded. I had the skirt steak dinner (forgot the mexican name for it), it was outstanding and the portion... More

The exterior of Cafe Frida doesn't appear as warm and friendly as the interior. The decor and general atmosphere are quite good. The food is highly enjoyable and the wait staff are cordial and attentive. If you are visiting the Museum of Natural History, we highly recommend lunch or dinner. It's just across Columbus Ave, outside of the museum's back... More
