I've eaten at this lovely restaurant a couple of times with family and have thoroughly enjoyed it every time. We generally order a few things and share, which is the best way to go because everything is so good that we want to try everything. Their grape leaves, grilled artichokes, and phyllo rolls are all great, as is their lamb Adana and their gnocchi. Prompt, friendly waitstaff and a mellow ambiance. This restaurant is conveniently located near Grand Central Station, which is handy for people coming into the city.

We dined here tonight as a party of four and while I dropped ~$300 it was a three course meal. Service by Dar-- was outstanding through out the night. The kitchen helped her by being timely with every course.
Appetizers were Hummus and Calamari, both were outstanding, but I believe the Calamari may have been the best Calamari appetizer I've every had.
Our mains were Gnocchi, Chicken Shashlik, Lamb Adana and I had the special of the night- Lamb Chops. All of the dishes were quite nice but the two Lamb dishes were outstanding.
Deserts were Rice Pudding, Baklava, Sorbet and Chocolate Souffle and all four were quickly consumed.
We'll eat here next time we are back in NYC.

Went for a business lunch with a group of six. Food was above average. My grilled octopus appetizer was delicious and the levantine seafood cake was decent, if a bit pricey for what i got. The beets on the base were the best part. While not mediterranean, the folks who got the burger and fries raved about them. I snuck a fry and it was very good. Service was attentive and friendly. I would return.

We went to Pera after a long day of touring NYC needing a quiet place to wind down. Pera in the late afternoon was perfect - we got seated before the dinner hour in a quiet main dining room with soft music that enabled an intimate conversation. We started with a grape leaves appetizer that was yummy. My wife enjoyed the lamb adana and I had the chicken shashlik. All three were prepared and presented wonderfully. The chicken was grilled but still moist and paired well with the rice pilaf and greens. Service was prompt throughout due to the early dining hour - we never had empty beverages glasses, by the time we were finished the restaurant was filling quickly for a Monday. We enjoyed our meal at Pera and think you will too.

This is a hot spot for the lunch crowd working close to Grand Central. The appeal is lacking other that its location. Food was average at best and quite overpriced (think small dried up stuffed dates), a signature lamb dish that had a huge raw pepper without any prep), and a vegetable timbale that frankly looked like a brown ____. Our server seemed miffed that we took awhile to order and seemed to pass us by even though it was clear our plates needed to be cleared for the next course. Honest assessment is try elsewhere.

This Pera Mediterranean Brasserie location has very good lunch & brunch items near both Grand Central Terminal & New York Public Library. I had the eggplant sandwich followed by the olive oil cake for dessert; both were very good. Service was prompt and there was plenty of seating available on a quiet holiday weekend.

I stopped in for lunch as this location was close to my meeting venues. The service was excellent. I asked to be seated at a quiet table and was given a nice corner table & my iced tea was refilled multiple times. While the menu wasn't detailed regarding allergens, I was readily able to find something to meet my needs and it was amazing and the presentation was lovely. The grilled vegetable timbale was one of those rare dishes which combined many different ingredients into a perfect mix. The arugula on top adds just the right bite.

The description of this place as a Mediteranean Brasserie conjured up images more of Western than Eastern Europe but I guess we should have been thinking about the South Coast of the Med!
Excellent selection of Turkish/Greek/Lebanese dishes all freshly prepared, including grilled meats on their charcoal barbecue in the open kitchen. Mezze were amazing.

Pera offers a very good Turkish-ish dining experience. We had the mezze platter, salad, lamb and chicken with Turkish wine. Everything we had was tasty and portions were ample. Despite being a very very busy evening, service was friendly and efficient.

I have had many meals in NYC over many vacations here, and this was the best meal I have ever had here. I had the sirloin steak with fries. The steak had no fat, was amazingly tender, and had fantastic flavor. The fries were fresh cut and delicious as well. My wife had the chicken shashlik and loved it as well. The portions were sizable too. Five stars all around.

Ambience was poor on the Saturday night we visited, almost empty. Food was average and reasonably priced. Staff attentive but almost over zealous, trying to take plates away when not yet finished. Would not rush back.

We went before A Strange Loop, it's maybe a ten minute walk to the Lyceum Theater. We sat outside on the tented patio. We had a couple vegans with us and they were thrilled with the cuisine. We started with the Dip Trio and the Fried Artichokes. I tried the seafood cake and liked it. Good for pre theater if you are on the east side of Broadway, or good for a pre train ride dinner out of Grand Central.

Visited on a NY Restaurant Week deal. $60 each for three courses and a drink. Lovely setting and nice service but unfortunately the food was nothing special. Something we could’ve got in our local Turkish restaurant for £10 and it would’ve been better.

What a great place. Larger than I expected, but really nicely laid out inside and out. Service was top notch, friendly and funny and attentive. We had 10 people and it was no big deal at all.
Food was off the charts. I had some of the best salmon ever. Our entire group loved their entrees.
I can only say that eating here is a must.

This place never disappoints. Have not been here since Covid and happy to see it is still amazing.
Had the dip trio for appetizer, steak shaslik and salmon benedict from the brunch menu. Yummy and filling. Can't wait to come back!!!
