The food was good no doubt about it, I am from Los Angeles where a Jamaican restaurant is a little more...Jamaican. I can tell all the food there was influenced in some way for the tastes of who they are serving because we are in Arkansas, not too many Jamaican influences to authenticate the real flavor of Jamaican food. I... More

Montego is across the stree from my new office, and I've eaten there 3X. Always good, fresh, and authentic. The service was very good, and the owner greeted me the door on my 1st visit. The food is not overly spicy, although I would like it a bit hotter. Always good, and the reggae music in the backgroud is a... More

Went to lunch there today and other than service being a little slow, it was a really good experience. I had the jerk chicken wrap with fries. The sweet and spicy sauce was excellent with the fries. They will bring more if you need it. There was a lot of bass in the music, but that reminded me of caribbean... More

Have tried Porter's more than once and same service every time. Order dinner everytime and still to this day have never received what we order. The band plays the same songs week after week and there is a hot sewer smell. Bathrooms never have paper towel to dry off hands. Management seems more involved in the waiter and front door... More

Don't know about their food, as we went just to hear jazz. We went on a Saturday night and saw the house band. They were great. Highly talented musicians - enthusiastic and tight. The jazz was first rate. The setting is nice too - good acoustics and nice feel to the place.

We went to Porter's on a Saturday night and were thrilled with the atmosphere & quality of the jazz performance. It was late and we had already eaten, so we have yet to try their food... but it was well worth coming just for the music! We will definitely be back for dinner & more of their incredible live jazz.

I visited this place for the first time on Sunday with friends for the brunch buffet. The food was palatable. The salad was fresh with a very good house dressing. The yams actually brought back childhood memories! The only problem I encountered was an omelet order that I placed 3 times and was never fulfilled! This was a bit puzzling,... More

We recently attended the jazz brunch at Porter's and were completely delighted with the experience! It was a comfortable, casual affair, with buffet style food: brisket, chicken, ham, breakfast meats, omelets and waffles cooked to order... greens, butter beans, grits, cornbread, potatoes, salad... fruit, muffins and cakes. It was decidedly the best brisket I have eaten in my entire life,... More

Little Rock needs this type of venue downtown to keep the rebirth of the district alive. Unfortunately the lengthy “soft opening” may be this places demise. The location is great. The renovation of the building is great with a balcony seating area around the basement stage. The menu available to the patrons was just a few items from what we... More
