The clam chowder here is one of the best in the area. The outdoor seating is great getting to look over the harbor. The tuna melt and fish sandwich are great budget options here.

I’m not from the area, but there seems to some kind of local debate over the best fish restaurant.... Brophy bros, or Andrea’s across the street. I’ll try to stay out of it, and will concentrate on Brophy bros. First and foremost, this was the...More

We went to Brophy Bros on the strength of good reviews, but it was even better than expected. We got a table outside on the deck, which turned out to be awesome in two ways - first, it was a bit warm on the inside...More

We really enjoy the food and atmosphere here. It is super noisy inside so we always try to get a table on the deck. Sometimes a long wait. Good service, fair prices.

This is an original great place for drinks and food. My wife and I were seated at a counter where we could watch our shellfish meals being prepared. For the very good quality that you get the prices are reasonable. Before or after it is...More

Only if you were on the corner of the patio closest to the ocean. The sun sets over the ocean so if you have an ocean view from the patio, you will see it.

Although many places are dog-friendly, the dogs must be on an outdoor patio area and not transit the restaurant to get there. Brophys is on the second floor, so even the outdoor patio area mush be accessed through the... More

Description
We are a casual seafood house that is located right on the dock in the Ventura & Santa Barbara Harbor. You'll find a bustling scene of fisherman, young professionals and sand-sprinkled beach-goers nearly every night of the week at these true-blue waterfront institution. Dungeness crab cocktail, oysters on the half-shell and fried shrimp round out the "small" menu offerings. Fresh fish specials, such as grilled white sea bass from local waters, mahi mahi dusted in Cajun spices and pan-blackened local yellowtail, are highlights on the "long" menu. No matter what, libations are always in order at this locals' favorite gathering place. Everyone is welcome at Brophy's, hope to see you soon.
