More than great pizzas and unbelievable choice of superb bottled beers this is a shop too. Remarkable range of goods for a small, out of the way, place. Service is as good as you'll get. Family run with a enjoyable atmosphere it is the best climbers meeting place I have ever been in where American IPA, the best IPA that... More

When you're done rock climbing or hiking all day and don't feel like cooking at your camp site, what do you do? Go to Rock City Mercantile of course! This restaurant/store sits on the edge of City of Rocks National Reserve in Idaho. The restaurant serves pizzas with a wonderful thin crispy crust. Three sizes, three prices, regardless of the... This place is your go to place if you are visiting the city and forgot anything or just want amazing pizza! We stop in here 2-3 times a year and love the atmosphere with the big outdoor patio. You can bring your leashed dogs and sit in the shaded area while you wait for your pizza. The pizza is a... More

We only purchased cold beverages here, but have it on good authority that the pizza is world-class excellent. Just the wrong time of day, or would have first hand experience! Great beer and wine selection!

We ended up "popping in" to Rock City several times. We got some dried wood for a campfire, some munchables, even custom jewelry made by a local artisan. They have an astonishing selection of beer and wine, but they serve some 100,000 visitors every year, most of them rock climbers heading out to City of Rocks or Castle Rocks State... More

First off, City of Rocks National Reserve simply, well, Rocks. it is a great place to visit for hiking, rock climbing and camping. It reminds me in many ways of Joshua Tree National Park not too from where I live in Calfornia. J-Tree benefits from a nearby town of the same namesake with cool places to eat and buy supplies.... While passing through we stopped to get ice and see what the local store offered. The bottom of their store sign reads " we welcome your well behaved dog inside". I have a service dog, 5.4 pounds of a yorkie that I carry every where. I walk in the store and the daughter of the owner says to me "... More

We stopped there to browse at knick knacks and found out they had pizza. We had some and would have bought more if we weren't already full from the first one. Had all the camping supplies you needed.
