We were told it would be a 40 min wait on St. Patrick's Day, but it was more like 15 min. We walked around the store a bit. We sat upstairs, where there are several tables, a bar and several stools along the wall with a small shelf for plates and drinks. The drinks were good, but the Irish coffee... More

Great little pub with authentic irish flair. Servers were great. Loved having something different. This place is fun and totally reminds you of the pubs in Britian.

I've been to this wee pub in the back of the wonderful Donegal Square Irish shop several times, but only to have a Guinness. The bride and I went there yesterday in search of a birthday gift for a special friend so, of course, after an hour drive, we stopped in the attached pub to eat (it advertises itself as... More

We started off with a Guinness and refreshing pear cider. Service was friendly, helpful and prompt. Loved my Scottish grilled salmon topped with a pesto and served with fresh green beans & mashed potatoes. The Red Stag corned beef cheese steak was full of flavor and accompanied with a heap of tasty homemade chips (fries). We did not have room... More

Love McCarthy's for lunch, and we've had several memorable St. Patrick's Day dinners there too! Great food, wonderful service, and a fine selection at the bar. Oh, and the bakery? I'll diet next week. Be sure to check out the shop too as it has so many wonderful items from Ireland, Scotland, and Wales. And say Hi to Neville when... More

A tasty mid day lunch with a good cup of Earl Gray tea. A relaxing atmosphere with good service. The menu includes a nice variety with British Isles meal selections. Donegal Square, a Celtic themed store is attached.

Lovely first visit to The Red Stag! Our party started off with a pot of green tea and the breakfast only got better from there! I ordered the Salmon Breakfast (half portion) and I can honestly say it was one of the best breakfasts I've ever had. The salmon and eggs were SO fresh and the Irish soda bread was... More

This is a nice place for drinks or dinner. Small space but worth the wait. Staff was also just as good and ambiance was authentic (although music didn't match). Would recommend.

The food at Red Stag is just OK. It's not terrible but it's certainly not amazing. I wish they didn't serve their sides like coleslaw in creepy little plastic ramekins - it reduces the charm of the place. Every time I pay a dinner-hour visit to The Red Stag, I get the feeling that the food is secondary to them... More
