It was our last day on the island, and I'd not had any mussels yet, so when I saw the sign outside this bar--or I thought it was a bar--we went in and discovered that it was a restaurant, but not only that, one with the best mussels I've ever had, and I've eaten them all over the U.S. and... More

Had lunch at Toby's. It was just kind of "meh". Nothing really stood out about it aside from the clam chowder was delicious. I will give them that. For a beautiful day it was simply too dark inside & the service was just okay. If I was to do it again I would try one of the other quaint restaurants... More

I've been going to Toby's for years. It never changes, and I enjoy that. Cold local brews and good grill type food. Always pleasant staff even when they are very busy.

NIce pub atmosphere. Had a nice table with view of the water. The crab/corn chowder was the soup of the day. It was excellent. Toasted bread was good that came with the souo Waitress was pleasant and attentive. I would go out to supper here again.

This is a local place with outlanders dropping in. Had the Fish and Chips. Fish is hand cut and battered. Ample portion, well cooked, tender and tasty. The chips are fries. The fries are real potatoes. Cole slaw comes with and a good ale on tap and you have what lunch is supposed to be.

I have heard of this place for years. In fact, at one time my dad's family almost owned it. It is a staple in Coupeville, which has become quite the little tourist hub. It is worth a stop if you are in the mood for some solid, greasy pub food. Don't expect anything light, but it does taste good. They... More

Authentic old fashioned place with average american restaurant menu save a few specials like the mussel soup. Great view, sloping floors, history and fascinating tit tat decor. Unfortunately not much choice on the gf food front but lady was great and knew how to prep my boring burger (no bun) and salad for an extra dollar and saved by an... More

This seems to be a favorite of locals, who are greeted by name and hugged. The food is very good and the prices are reasonable.

Love Toby's! Have been going there for years. If you want fancy décor and table cloths, don't go! If you want good pub food (the Mussels are to die for) then this is the place. Wait staff is always friendly, the only thing they need is a deck! Burgers and Fish and Chips are fantastic as well. We have spent... More
