Went here for restaurant week and was not disappointed. We were offered three small plates and dessert. I really enjoyed the carmelized onion tartine. Everyone in our party had the mussels with just the right amount of Thai curry. I had the duck confit and I loved the combination of flavors. The service was great. We definitely will be back.

We had not been here in a number of years. The restaurant now serves mostly small plates, which are delicious, creative and beautiful. Our party of four shared 4 small plates and then the large Bronzino. There were only two large entrees that night. A neighboring table ordered the chicken (fried is one option) and it looked wonderful. We had... More

The menu has changed since we were here a year or so ago. Now the focus is small plates with two larger dishes designed to be shared. We had the barramundi and several small plates as a party of four and were pleased with every dish. The beets were tasty as was the onion tartine and ahi tuna. We look... More

Stumbled upon this place with friends and was pleasantly surprised. Little plates to share and a couple of large platters to choose from. Interesting menu that includes octopus, bone marrow, vegetables I'd never heard of, and other seafood. There were four in our party and we shared all of the dishes. Lovely plate of beats were excellent. Also delicious was... More

We shared various starters which were all excellent - intense flavours on some, light and refreshing style on others. After we shared a sea bass between 3 ladies. It was on a bed of vegetables. The fish was prepared perfectly and was delicious. As good as I've had in European fish restaurants. It's BYOB so we brought a lovely wine... More

That’s how I felt after dinner - disappointed. The descriptions of the small plates sounded so much better than the actual product. There wasn’t a moment when anyone said, Wow – I can’t wait to try the next selection. The Roasted Bone Marrow was overpowered by shredded (short rib?) meat and a sweet dark sauce. The somewhat bland neck pumpkin... More

Bistro 7 is smack in the middle of busy/fun/crazy "Old City" Philadelphia, but it feels far removed from the frat-bro popped collars of the neighborhood. And that's a good thing. A small BYOB big on flavor, the menu delivered. We happened to attend during restaurant week, which meant the menu was a bit more limited than normal, but still packed... More

Known for their fried/baked chicken dish - it is definitely worth a visit. The appetizers are simply elegant and excellent. Pickled vegetables with kimchi; salads with simple and fresh dressing; attentive service; educated staff. What lacks in ambience is made up with friendly, knowledgable staff and freshly prepared dishes.

What a find! I am a vegetarian and when I first checked out the menu online, I thought I would be satisfied with the gazpacho and salads and veggie dishes. But when I saw those soft shells and especially the chicken brought out for my husband and his friend, I just had to sample them. And no bad after-effects for... More
