Delicious, unpretentious, reasonably priced. Worth checking out. Nice staff. Family run. Only a few blocks of Broad.

... you'd be very lucky if she had this wealth of dishes to feed you. Good for steam table food at a tiny, dark neighborhood joint, and the price is unbeatable. $8 for rice and choice of two dishes. If you like deep flavors (this is not light food), please also try out the cuisine at a steeper price point.

Only my second time at an indonesian restaurant. Excellent, tasty. It's pretty small and tight quarters so hopefully you are lucky to get a seat. Go up and order at the counter and get 2 sides + rice for 8 or 10 dollars, and add more sides if you want. Recommend the beef rendang and the fish curry - so... More

Never have had Indonesian food, but glad I checked out this spot. Definitely need to know where you are going. Hidden on a corner in a residential neighborhood, several blocks odd Broad. Parking next to impossible Reviews said hole in the wall, but I found it to ooze charm, it was very clean, and the owner family very friendly. You... More

There's lots of good food in Philadelphia- but if you want to get beyond cheese steaks and ham/cheese- Hardena is like eating in an a beloved aunty's kitchen. There is a variety of curry, stews and stir fries to choose from or you can order off a menu. Very tiny place to expect to wait for a table if you... More

The food is $7 for a plate of rice and two dishes. There are a lot of vegetarian and vegan options. I usually go for the collard greens and jackfruit (on weekends). I really do wish that they would stop using plastic and styrofoam plates and forks. You are welcome to bring your own plate and fork (or tupperware).

The other review titles sum this place up quite well -- hidden gem; diamond in the rough; hole in the wall. It's also incredibly delicious. The menu changes every day, you'll have an option of 6-8 Indonesian entrees. There is something for everyone, including vegetarians and those who don't eat gluten. You get your choice of two entrees and rice... More

You would never expect to find a restaurant in the middle of this South Philly neighborhood. But on the corner of a narrow street, you will find one of the best Indonesian food places in Philly. One of the items that I always order is Beef Rendang. Their version did not dissapoint! They have a limited choices of daily items... More

Run by a friendly Indonesian family, this little place in South Philadelphia is a real find. A styrofoam plate of rice piled high with 3 delicious curries will set you back $9. BYOB

We made our way to this gritty neighborhood in South Philly, but were instantly warmed when we stepped inside this small corner café, welcomed by our hostess who invited us up to the buffet table so she could explain everything. We were offered our choices of three saucy medleys to top rice for a pittance price. I opted for lamb... More
