"The Coop" is really more of a craft beer lovers delight than a whiskey and wine bar...but I'll let them call themselves whatever they want. I'm just saying they have a really good and consistent rotation of great craft beer often with a solid representation of local breweries. The wings are pretty great and the rest of the food is... Good spot if you're in the neighbourhood. We sat on tall bar stools and had a very tasty lunch with a lovely waitress. Comfortable, solid. Will be back for another lunch when I'm in the area. Bar looks good for evening.

I have to say that only due to logistics, it was unlikely that I would get my husband to eat in downtown Philly, and with the help of a gift card, we tried the Cooperage. Start to finish, was excellent. Buffalo wings with a different variation of a bleu cheese dipping sauce, wings were crispy and delish. The burger special... More

Ate lunch with a coworker and both of us were so pleased with everything. Great lunch menu - I recommend the French dip - melt in your mouth delicious! Service was attentive and friendly. Definitely will return!

Arrived here with some colleagues and ordered the veggie burger with sweet potato fries. Food arrived quickly and was very nice. Didn't order any of the drinks from the menu, just water. Although it was a very hot day, the interior of the restaurant was cool and pleasant. Service slightly slow - my colleague pointed out that the specials don't... More

We'd dined elsewhere and we're looking for someplace to enjoy an after-dinner drink when our Philly friends suggested The Cooperage. Great decision! I can't comment on food but they have a great list of spirits, especially whiskers, and a wonderful list of wines by the glass and bottle. The cocktail menu is good as well. I had a great port... Well, its a whiskey bar. Lots and lots of whiskey, if you like whiskey. Fortunatey for me, I do. My wife and I have gone there for a before dinner drink a few times. With alot of varieties and choices, its basically up to you the route you want to go: your favorite go to or trying something new. I've... More

We went on a Sunday night at the girl working was pretty terrible. She clearly knew very little about wine, which was disappointing. The wine flights are $11 and very worth it though. There seemed to be a wedding happening in the same building and it was very loud.

Description
For great domestic craft beer, and extensive wine and whiskey selections, head to Cooperage, a New American gastropub located in the historic Curtis Center, just North of Washington Square. A great destination for a quick and tasty lunch, casual snacks and sips at the bar, or a full dinner.
