Stopped in at 5 pm on Friday. Ordered a flight of sherry to share. Douglas made some great suggestions. After tasting the sherries with some Marcona almonds, we ordered boquerones & short rib appetizers. Had a nice glass of Spanish red with that. Met some nice people at the bar, chatted a bit. Seems the Sangria is a bit hit... More

Great drinks, great service, and efficient staff. We only had a couple of plates, but they were very tasty. Bacon wrapped stuffed dates...like candy.

I was looking for a tapas bar in Philly and found this one. The menu looked interesting so I tried it. I wasn't disappointed. Many unique tapas on the menu. They also had some interesting mixed drinks. Try the Bizet for something different.

Thirteenth Street in Philadelphia is filled with many small, cafe type restaurants. We chose Jamonera with a recommendation from a family member and were not disappointed. We did make a reservation for Saturday night, a must. There is outdoor sidewalk seating, but we ate indoors in the intimate atmosphere. You could also eat at the bar. The menu offered many... More

Stopped in to check the place out and it was outstanding. Visited on a Monday so it was more intimate than a weekend when it gets crazy. Craft cocktails at the bar were perfect and the Spanish cured meat and cheese chefs board was fabulous. Can't wait to go back for dinner.

This is one of five of Chef Marcey Turney and Valarie Safran's restaurants. Since we loved Bud & Marilyn's, we thought we would try Jamonera. The food was amazing - the combinations and unique but very flavorable. I liked everything I tried including their white sangria. I would definitely come back, but only after I try Lolita and Barbuzzo.

My wife and I reserved a table based on a recommendation from a friend and it was worth it. We may have ordered one too many selections but being stuffed was so worth it, as I couldn't imagine not trying each of the dishes we ordered. Fantastic food and great service. I would definitely recommend stopping in.

Food was below average one of the fishes was cold and hard when it was served. Server did not refill water nor asked. Had to go to host for assistance. Had the restaurant week but everything we got was not good. Simply nothing that I could consider Delicious. Not sure if it's because it's restaurant week.

By the luck of timely cancellation, we got a table on a very popular weekend. We had a great time exploring the tapas menu and sharing nibbles. Wine was reasonably priced. I really enjoyed their vegetable dishes -- someone in the kitchen knows how to treat an eggplant! Really, "eggplant fries" were light, crispy, not the least greasy, absolutely delicious.... More

The restaurant is small, reservations recommended. Our server was willing to explain fully each dish and recommend the best way to pace ourselves thru this meal. We shared 4 tapas plates and each had an entree and a dessert. My favorite appetizer/small plate was the Pulpo (grilled octopus); the jamon iberico was tasty but not worth the high price tag....
