We tried this for the first time before the Walnut Street Theater and thought the food was fine. It is really more a bar that also serves food than a restaurant. The bar is very lively and rather loud during happy hour so be prepared....More

Opa gives Walnut Street Theatre subscribers a 10% discount do we decided to give it a try. We had the spinach croquettes, the village salad, the smelts and the Gyro plate with shrimp. Everything was delicious and served family style. Each dish was brought out...More

We stopped here for dinner. First of all, the food was delicious. I had the lamb gyro and my wife had the chicken. But that is all you got for your money. I am not sure what they were going for, however, if starvation was...More

Opa is a nice place that I believe could be better. The Food is good but not that good for the price paid. The location is right in front of a parking lot which could be played around with some graffiti to add a touch...More

How full you feel, depends on how big of an eater you are. There were 5 of us, our bill was around $120 and no one had room for dessert. Now I realize, this may not be the typical experience...we didn't have any alcohol, so...More

This is my second visit to OPA - I returned after dining here last year. It's a very casual spot, but the food is to die for. Authentic Greek; amazing fish, vegetables, meats, etc. Waitress seemed less than excited to be there, but the food...More

This place is pretty much Greek tapas. The servings are simply too small for the price. We ran up a big bill and left hungry. The crowd was pretty nice and the setting in general modern and trendy. There are much better places to spend...More

Stopped in Opa for a drink and snack during Happy Hour. It is a lovely restaurant with an extensive Greek menu to choose from. I ordered their spicy duck taco on the recommendation of the bartender. It was very good. Looking forward to returning and...More

Modern twist on a number of traditional Greek dishes. Particular favourites include the saganaki with the apricot compote, scordalia with pine nuts and the grilled octopus with toursi (pickled vegetables). Reasonably priced and good service. Highly recommend!

Opa is a new Modern Greek restaurant and bar located in Center City's Midtown Village neighborhood. The menu features a fresh take on traditional Greek flavors. Featured items from the mezedes (small plates) include herbed keftedes (meatballs) in a ouzo-tomato sauce, octopus and spinach croquettes served with a smokey feta dip. Large plates offer a variety of items such as striped bass and pastitsio. The signature cocktail list and Greek wine selection offer the perfect complement to your meal. Acclaimed designer, Jun Aizaki/Creme, created an alluring setting which includes a striking birch branch canopy. Walk-in seating is available at the 24 seat bar and offers the full menu.
