We had early dinner at Vernick on a Friday evening and everything was great, from cocktails, to toasts, to raw bar, small plates and entrees. We sampled about as much as four can, and everythig was top quality and impressively well prepared. Service was knowledgeable but without pretense and attentive without being obtrusive! This was an excellent meal and I... More

Everything here is near perfect, the food, the drinks and of course the service. We started off with drinks, I had the meyer lemon drink which was so good and the husband had on of the best old fashions he has ever had. He had the crab toast. Oh my it was wonderful and I had the lobster salad. Hard... More

After several attempts to get a reservation (we always tried last minute which was futile), we made it into Vernick and were highly satisfied with the results. We had a seat near the open kitchen and enjoyed the action. The drinks were full of flavor and the menu offered a broad tasting array. We tried several small plates, with the... More

We hadn't been back to Vernick since the first year it opened and we remembered it as a very pleasant experience, but on this visit the food was out of this world. Inventively prepared and delicious. The truffle risotto was the highlight of the meal, but the parmesan custard and uni and eggs were memorable. We'll definitely be back in... More

Everything about our last visit to Vernick was amazing. Ethan was a wonderful server who had a very calming effect and true knowledge of the menu. I had an artichoke appetizer that made me stop in my tracks...literally mid sentence. It was just rated #1 in Philadelphia magazine and continues to be in our top 3. I hate to review... More

Loved this place, best meal on our trip so far. Really good service and food, and sensible portions rather than in most American places! The place reminded us of our Noma experience, which was the best restaurant in the world when we visited.

We were so excited to dine last week at VF&D. We had a larger party so we arranged a limited menu that was served family style. We we tried their bacon jam/broccoli and the beef tartare toast. They were both perfect with a large amount of toppings on each piece of grilled toast. The island creek oysters were also delicious.... More

Read the reviews, met the Chef/owner and thought it was too good to be true before I was finally able to get in...and the experience was just breathtaking. Food was on point and did not disappoint, the wine menu is just right with hitting all the essential taste profiles, service was very good and what our server couldn't answer...she quickly... More

My wife and I visited Vernick for the first time tonight to celebrate our 25th wedding anniversary! The service, food, and ambiance were all amazing. Everyone was pleasant and professional from the managers to the bus boys. If you dropped a crumb, it was picked up before you realized it was dropped. Most importantly, every course of food was an... Food was not anything close to what it cost. Very pricey and disappointing. I have yet to figure out what the high scores are for. EVERYONE was disappointed at the table.
