Fette Sau - Fishtown. It's a bit more expensive than the average BBQ lunch, especially for a cafeteria style service, but the quality of the ingredients, and the execution of the preparation make up for it. Started out with a 1/2 lb. of Niman Ranch Prime brisket, 1/4 lb. of pulled Duroc pork, 1/4 lb. of Duroc pork belly, one... More

While visiting our son in Philly we to;ld him we had a yen for BBQ ribs and he told us Fette Sau had the best. They have a small menu which apparently changes. It is self srvice and you order at the counter. Meat is dry rubbed and is sold by the pound. I found this very confusing but the... More

Took my second trip here this past weekend. Ordered tons of pulled pork, mac and cheese and pickles. Fun vibe, good beer. The line can be a bit long and food is a bit pricey

Visiting daughter in Philadelphia and she insisted on taking my wife and me here. Great choice. Everything was very delicious and set in a unique environment.

I thought this "hip" place was expensive for what one got, although the portions were large. I would not return.

You never know what to expect when it comes to eating at places like this. For example, the food is either dry and old, cold, tough, alright, or great. Well this place is great. First, the people who work behind the counter have a great attitude which is important in customer service. They usually make the first and biggest impression... More

Who would have expected a great BBQ joint in the middle of Philadelphia. The place was packed and parking was tough to find but it was well worth the wait. The employees at the counter were very helpful in figuring out how much food you needed to order for yourself or a group. The ribs and pulled pork were so... More

Wonderful little venue tucked back from the street that looks every bit like a southern BBQ joint. Tables outside and inside, you just belly up to the deli counter and place your order. You can buy the smoked meats buy the pound with your sides or like us, take advantage of the great happy hour. We got the "Burnt End... More

Foodies... this place will not disappoint! The beef brisket is tastier and more tender than Texas BBQ I've had Dallas and Houston.

Chicken legs were ok and the pork was a little dry. Get a cold bourbon to go with the food too! The sides were ok... Can't wait to go... More
