I seriously don't get the negative reviews about Reef. I've been there five or six times and thought it was excellent. The staff has always been super friendly as well. I've also been there with different people and none of them could believe how good the food was and how friendly the staff is Get the Jerk Chicken and a... More

I walked down South St. when I was staying in Philly and I came across this restaurant and walked in to see I could get seated. Monday nights was all-u-can-eat crab legs. I did not get these but for $30 I did not think that would be a bad deal. I had the Potato Crusted Salmon with white rice and... More

1) Plastic "silverware" 2) Waffles looked and tasted like it came from the frozen section of the supermarket 3) Our mimosas arrived when we were halfway done with our meal - mind you, it was all pre-mixed and just had to be poured into an empty carafe and it wasn't like the restaurant was swarming with patrons 4) An unjustifiable... The Reef saved a near disaster of a food outing! After a major disappointment at a buffet, we decided to head here for a special Monday offering. It's all-you-can-eat crab legs on Monday nights. Crab legs are my daughter's favorite and when I get the taste for them, it's the only thing that will satisfy my palate. Well, my wife... More

I was craving seafood while walking south street so my bf and I stopped in. The atmosphere was nice and there were lots of ppl. Our server was really nice. It took us a long time to get our food. We got two waters that was obviously sink water served in what looked like tall shot glasses. I had two... More

This has got to be one of the worst experiences I have had in Philly. The staff was rude and downright obnoxious. Would provide ZERO stars if that was an option Went here on part of a Margarita March organized by BEERATHON. This included 8 Bars where each bar was supposed to server a specialty Margarita. Clearly Reef thought they... More

Everything was just ok. It was humid inside the decor was tacky. Prices do not match the atmosphere. I ordered the crab and my husband ordered the pasta. I gave my husband a crab leg and was told that if I'm going to share with him they will charge me for 2 meals. Geez I understand but we each ordered... More

During a recent trip to Philly we decided to try the Reef on a Saturday night. After reading reviews on some of the other sites we decided, let's give it a shot. It was "ok." Nothing special...but not bad. I ordered the BBQ nachos and they were decent. Again, not good but not bad. The bartender advised that the upstairs... More

This is a one stop shop for a great night. Been a few times and every time I leave feeling better than when I came. Authentic Jamaican/Carribean food and drinks. Must try jerk chicken wings and definitely the rum punch. It's to die for! Atmosphere has a great laid back vibe and upstairs there's a dance floor and bar where... More
