We arrived shortly after 11:00 to get a lunch table. The place filled immediately after. Then the pub runners arrived! Very jovial place. Great Guinness, bangers and mash (sausages not greasy at all) and shepherds pie. Friendly staff and quick service.

This was 2nd time eating here. First time was a few years ago and enjoyed delicious food. 2nd time did not disappoint. Was crowded due to PSU vs. MSU basketball game at Palestra. Was told wait time was 45 minutes. Probably waited about 15 minutes for table. Server was prompt with food and drink order despite the crowd. Food was... More

Comfortable pub, friendly service staff, good bar food, and a nice beer selection (i.e., not all IPAs). The place has a good vibe.

My friend and I had a layover in Philadelphia during a recent train trip on Amtrak, and decided to have lunch at the Slainte Irish Pub. It is right across the street from the 30th Street station. It is a typical Irish Pub with lots of dark wood, etc. We had the baked potato soup, which was terrific. I had... More

This is a fine place to hang out before or after catching the train at 30th St. Station. It is pleasant there even if no trains are involved. The bar is attractive and well stocked, the service is fine and the noise levels, at least when I've gone have been manageable. I tend to stick with Irish tavern fare, considering... More

My daughter and I stopped in to have dinner. The bar area is very nice as was the bartender. The waitress came right away and took our order. We had soup and a sandwich. I love the lay out of this restaurant. If you have time before getting your train, it's just a short walk across the street.

A travel necessity through 30th Street station took us there for an early dinner. We weren't looking for a big dining experience so that was good. The menu variety is heavily populated with bar foods (good) but scant on Irish Pub Fair (bad)! However the bar is magnificent!! I am sure that this campus border pub rocks as the night... More

We stopped in before catching our train and got an amazing meal and drinks for five of us at an affordable price. The atmosphere is very pub-like and relaxing. They have a nice size bar and quite a few televisions. The staff were all very friendly and service (waitress Jill) was terrific. We will be coming back to this place.

Right across the street from 30th street station. Had lunch here and was pleasantly surprised at the cleanliness of the place, the service and the food. Nice Irish pub with nice selection of beers, the Philadelphia cheesesteak was good, salads were nice but most of all service with a smile. Came at lunch on a Friday and by the time... More
