The service was attentive, the food wonderful. You really felt taken care of. It's not really a dinner, it's an experience. The home-made panettone was an experience all of it's own. I have never tasted any other that was so wonderful.

I greatly anticipated our dinner at Vetri, having visited the website and after reading all the glowing online reviews. The cost of the prix fixe menu seemed exorbitant at $155 a person, but I rationalized that it was worth it to try all of the food items listed on the website tasting menu. I was very disappointed. Our server instructed... More

A really really great experience. Multiple small course presentations with wine pairings. A nice set of texture, taste, and flavors. Great presentations but the food was even better. Really enjoyed it all.

My wife and I went here after the Symphony the other evening, arriving about 9PM, just a few minutes before our 9:15 reservation. We waited about a half hour to be seated. Overall, I think the wait staff was going through the motions but very attentive. To get things attended to took work and it shouldn't have. The tasting menu... More

We enjoyed the Grand Wine pairing with our meal. The several courses presented were not as creative or as delicious as we had expected. A bit less salt would have been appreciated. Once we were facing three selections on the table at once with two wines. Another time we were given two items with two wines. Why not serve each... More

Vetri, located in downtown Philadelphia, specializes in presenting small dishes - tastings - prepared by the chef and pared with appropriate wines. While not among the very best of this type of restaurant that I have visited recently - Providence in LA was better and a restaurant in Prague was as good - Vetri is certainly worth a visit. The... Despite seemingly a formal place, once you enter the restaurant has a casual, homely feel. The staff were very friendly and highly accommodating around my pregnant wife's dietary requirements. The multiple courses ranged from good to excellent, but there were probably too many 'good' ones and too few in the ‘excellent’ category. I had the grand wine pairings which were... More

I work in sales and eat out a lot(2-3 x / week) at many fine restaurants across the country. And I love food. So I feel somewhat qualified to have an informed opinion. And my opinion on Vetri is that it is the best food and best service I have to experience. Betony in NYC is a close second but... More

We visited our son in Philadelphia and hosted him for a tasting dinner @ Vetri. It was memorable and worth a trip to Philadelphia for that alone! We had numerous courses, different for each of us, and paired it with wine at each course. It was terrific. Later in the trip we visited one of his other restaurants and were... More
