Our first time to Philly (besides being stuck at the airport) so wanted to try the local flavor. This was one of three places. Pretty good tie with Sonny's a few doors down. Worth a try if you want an authentic Philly cheesesteak sandwich Not...More

I felt like I needed to try a cheesesteak while I was in Philadelphia. Campo's seems authentic Philly, so I gave them a try. I probably won't have another cheesesteak - just not my thing - but the staff was super helpful and this is...More

I came to Philadelphia on a business trip. I really wanted to find a great authentic Philly cheesesteak sandwich. The reviews look good and the price was right. I went in there and it was nothing more than a fast food restaurant. The Philly cheesesteak...More

Forget about going to Geno's or Pats. For the best cheesesteak in town you have to go to Campo's in Old City. So worth the trip for the quality and flavor can't be beat!!!

If you are in the 2nd Street area a stop to Campo's is a must. This is the place to experience the traditional Philly style - cheese-steak that is. The serving size is adequate and the wait time isn't bad. This place has an attitude...More

One of the information clerks at Independence Hall Visitor Center recommended this restaurant! It was great. Small, locally owned with friendly service and smiles. "Mama" makes the best potato salad ever!!! Cheesesteak sandwiches were excellent!

Steak, a tiny bit of cheese, and peppers on a fairly dry bun, none of which had very much flavor. I guess Philly cheesesteak just isn't my thing. I've tried it, but can't say much about it, other than it tastes exactly how you would...More

We were sent here by the Visitor's Center. It was a few blocks away and worth the walk. Althogh they were crowded and their phone kept ringing with carry-out orders, they took the time to explain their Cheesesteaks to us. They explained the different cheeses,...More

Cheese Steaks were so delicious. Meat was very tender. Tried the homemade potato salad and it was so tasty. Very fresh food and a nice atmosphere. Will definitely visit again if I'm in the area.

We had only visited in Philadelphia one other time and as part of that visit we were taken to Campo's for Philly Cheese steaks. On this visit we played host to other friends and so of course, we took them here also. This is a...More
