A longtime favorite. Cozy. Can become noisy. "Blackboard" menu specials besides regular, limited menu. Food is imaginative and very good. Full bar. Very friendly staff. You will want to come back.

Unfortunately we were there on their second to last night of business. It was excellent, as always. Not sure what it will be or how it will hold up too all these years of excellence!

A small, but intimate restaurant that serves creative and well-prepared meals. The variety of the menu in addition to the specials has an offering for every palate. In spite of the small kitchen, meals are prompt, well presented, and served at the appropriate temperature. It's off the beaten path; read neighbourhood location, makes you feel quite at home almost literally.... More

Found Fri Sat Sun listed as one of Philly's romantic restaurants before a weekend visit and booked a table for Friday night. The place is small and dark, with some interesting decorative touches that do make it feel like a cozy romantic bistro. The food was excellent, from the mussels we shared to the crab cake and filet entrees. With... More

We met some old friends here while visiting Philadelphia. Unlike some noisy restaurants I've been to lately, this one was quiet enough to hold a conversation. We liked the little twinkly white lights and overall atmosphere. Our waitress gave us good service and never made us feel rushed. I ordered the duck and when I asked how the chef cooked... More

We took our son here for his birthday and it was a wonderful meal. We started with the cheese plate which had a variety of three cheeses, apple puree and fried wonton bread. Then we had the Mussels which were by far the best Mussels we have ever had, sweet, succulent and buttery. My son ordered the Striped Bass, I... More

I took the steep walk up the stairs to the fish tank bar a few weeks ago to find that some things in life remain constant. I had a drink and then headed to the theater. I returned a few weeks later for a bite with my friend and her daughter post theater. We ate downstairs because there was no... More
