Food cooked to perfection. Large and small plates. I don't usually order chicken when I go out, but I tasted my dinner companion's and I will definitely order it the next time! Highly recommend the octopus, winter salad, halibut and carrots! Waitstaff was helpful, attentive and non intrusive. Comfortable, neighborly setting

While anxious about this new incarnation of a former personal favorite, we were pleasantly surprised. Gone are all the comfort trappings— the cushions and pillows and mismatched tableware and the cozy feel. Gone are all of the marvelous foods that we grew to love and yearn for. It place of it all, a sparse, classic setting, airiness and clean lines.... More

We used to frequent the original restaurant off and on for many years. The reincarnation is superb. The dining room has been moved to the second floor, and the street level has become the bar. The menu is no longer on the blackboard. While the selections are limited, there is something for every taste. The cocktails are excellent, although they... More

Not bad for a pre-dinner drink. Obviously there is a dinner menu here and we may try it some time, but for now we have only stopped there for a cocktail before heading elsewhere for dinner. Nice variety and very well-crafted. Nice easy mood in the place as well. We shall return.

This is definitely not the FSS that we were hoping to see... The original quaint, beautiful bar and restaurant has been converted to a typical upscale Phili eatery. Great food and drink, very expensive but nothing special. Those who are going who expect to see a modern version of the old FSS will be disappointed. We were. As i said... More

We enjoyed a dinner of small plates at the newly renovated Friday Saturday Sunday. We miss the fish tank, but they really traded up--the new decor is very sophisticated and romantic. Our oysters with a lime granita minionette were delicious, the beef tartare and root vegetable salad were excellent, and the lobster paparadelle was true foodie comfort food. Our waiter... More

Went there recently for our anniversary and were so impressed. The shrimp in the shrimp cocktail had an incredible flavor, and the lavash chips they sent along with it were a perfect accompaniment. Entrees - halibut, shrimp and grits - were scrumptious and satisfying. The brownie sundae was really good, but the citrus pannacotta was even better - so delicate.... More

New owners are genius. Amazing transformation. So worth the wait. The bar is spacious and so comfortable. The dining room is comfortable, elegant, beautiful light, simple and classy. And that's all before you get the beautiful creative food and drink.Chad Williams menu is easy and complex. Inventive, try it all leave room for desert!
