The hoagies are addictive. The location is perfect. Open 24/7, a straight forward diner in a part of town surrounded by foofy fancy restaurants. Whatever bread they use for their hoagies is amazing. The sandwich survived the trip home and didn't get soggy or leak all over the bag.

OK, so you think this is a dive? Well, I can't argue with that. Pete's is an all-night greasy spoon that serves up great breakfasts and other assorted diner fare. The menu can be pretty hit and miss, but I'd stick to one item, which I've had here for decades. They do an Eggs Benedict that is my very favorite... More

This is a fantastic place to grab breakfast in Philadelphia. We often stay at the hotels in the Rittenhouse area and this place has a better breakfast at half the price. Nice people, good location, fast service, good food and fair prices. The owner is often there and he's a real nice guy.

Tried Scapple for first time and I really enjoyed it here. Large group of us but food came out quickly and was hot.

Breakfast - pure and simple. Eggs, pancakes, breakfast meats ad of course, scrapple (an acquired tase to be sure, but worth sampling for everyone.) Help is nice and this old Philly diner is a landmark worth visiting.

Wait to get a seat. Crowd into a small booth. Order was quick enough and the food was OK! Almost $2.00 for a coke -- 3-4 sips. Refill same size SAME PRICE!!! Really- not again!

First of all, great service, friendly bartender/waitress. We arrived for breakfast and sat at bar area. Ordered steak and eggs and bacon and eggs with a friend. We noticed they carry plates of food out by stacking them, so your food touches the bottom of the other plate. This might have been just one waitress, but it was weird and... More
