This is a small restaurant in a sea of many restaurants. Approximately 10 tables and an elevated table where you sit on the floor. Not very busy on the the night we had dinner there. The staff was attentive and pleasant. The food was adequate in amount. We chose all chicken dishes. Appetizers arrived quickly followed by salad. The food... More

One of my best friends and I have frequented this place for years and have never had a bad meal. It's not a place you go if you're looking for a trendy see-and-be-seen kind of vibe. It's not a place to go if you're looking for a creative menu or fancy drinks. It's just a low-key place with delicious food... More

This is a good afghan food restuarant. They play Iranian music and students get together and dance while you are eating. The owners are kind and respectful. if you go with a group make sure you ask the waiter for separate checks FROM THE BEGINNING! they try not to separate to make it easier and just add the gratuity to... I'm sorry, the food is not very exciting, but wait! There are still reasons to consider this place. It's a small, friendly, family run place with very inexpensive food with a good location in Old City. It's byob and the liquor store, with a cold case, is half a block away. Generally, the lightness of the food, even the meat... More

Our group had a lamb kabob, Kabuli Palow and Badenjan Chalow. The food was delicious! The meat was great! rice with pistachio, raisins and carrot strips was amazing! The place is clean and nicely decorated. Make sure to stop by!

We were in town the other night and wanted to try something different. We gave Ariana's a try. We were very pleased. I had a lamb dish and my wife had a chicken dish. Delicious. The staff was friendly and helpful and were able to accommodate by gluten allergy. Unfortunately for me, they have no gluten-free desserts, but what we... More

We love trying new tunic foods and we had another chance to do so when we recently visited Ariana, in Philly. First know that this is a small, intimate restaurant and if it's hot outside be prepared for it to be hot inside too. Service was friendly and attentive especially when Ariana herself shared her story with us. We shared... More

My wife and I are well travelled and have been to numerous types of restaurants all over the world but this is the first time we have tried an Afghan restaurant. We had some reservations about how much we would enjoy the food. All I can say is that we thoroughly enjoyed our meal and the whole experience. The food... More

We took a few new graduates to this restaurant to celebrate their graduation. Most of them had no idea about Afghani cuisine. They were very skeptical, but at the end of their meal, they promised to return to this non- pretentious restaurant for good lamb kabobs and simple home-feel good food joint.

This place was recommended by a local and I am so happy that we went. Amazing food and the restaurant was very charming. Good options for vegetarians.
