Always a great choice especially for breakfast or brunch.! This place is a hidden gem in Chestnut Hill. The facade is very unassuming but it has wowed me consistently. The interior is quaint & charming. The smoke salmon bagel, stuffed French toast, and hot chocolate are some of my favorites. Service is always quick and friendly. For an added bonus... More

Oh and the large selection of beer. There is also a small deli counter. The food selections can be hit or miss and mostly miss. I have never gotten my omelet the way... More

Excellent Diner - make a point of stopping every time we go into the city! Can't wait to try banana split, shakes & ice cream sodas when it gets warm again!

I have been coming here for years with my wife and kids. It is one of the only true diners i know of in the Mount Airy/Chestnut Hill area. It's kind of a hit or miss place as I will explain but I keep coming back out of convenience and because the owner is a well known civic minded gentleman... More

Germantown is a charming part of Philadelphia . Trolley cars traveled the length of Germantown Avenue ; the tracks are still there . An old trolley is near the restaurant and the restaurant itself is like a trolley . We ate breakfast , but they serve lunch, dinner and brunch . Friday nights are beer tastings . The breakfast menu... More

The Trolley Car Diner is a good spot for breakfast, lunch or dinner. I take my grand kids there, they love the food and milk shakes. Good selection of items to choose from any time of day. Real Trolley car in front open in summer for ice cream.
