Disappointing The evening started with an Unusual vibe. The staff seemed to be is disarray. First no one showed to take a drink order. We did get menus. I asked for a wine list. When the waiter appeared to take our order we still had not placed orders for drinks. They wine I requested was unavailable. A suitable substitute was... More

We went last night, and they had forgotten to transfer our Open Table reservation into their book....so apparently no table. After being treated rudely up front by "the manager," they wanted to take our drink order before we were even seated. Then, we were told that one of the appetizers we ordered would "take a long time." Talk about giving... More

Lovely dining atmosphere with attentive, but not intrusive staff. Food is Very good traditional American-Italian . The quality. especially the fish is excellent. You can enjoy conversation, linger with a drink and never feel rushed.

Had dinner while on business. Service was good and food didn't disappoint. Venue is underground so ambiance isn't the best. Would go there again.

Every year during Restaurant Week I find the upscale restaurants that I can't afford during the rest of the year an make a reservation. Ristorante La Buca did not disappoint! The decor is old school Italian and we initially thought the service might be snooty, but, happily, we were wrong. Our server and the manager both were knowledgeable and helpful... More

La Buca ("the cave") is literally underground, being below ground level. It's old-world Italian - meticulous service, fresh cooking, white tablecloths, murals on the walls. One of the advantages is that it's relatively quiet, so this is a go-to place to dine when conversation is a focus. The food is good: they have a little cart with an example of... More

We've always love La Buca. We go for fennel salad, branzino and Zappa d'ingles and we're never disappointed. Classic Italian, polished service. The room is dated and still as it was 20 years ago but the kitchen also still shines.

It had been perhaps 30 years since I'd last been to La Buca. It retained its old world charm and classic menu I'd remembered. What I'd forgotten was the elevator one can now take to reach this subterranean Italian dining spot. There is something calming about this place. No romantic lighting but rather those crisp linen tablecloths and attentive and... More

Nice romantic atmosphere, but mostly older couples. Service was a little slow but the food was really good. I had crab stuffed calamari which was fantastic and he had some kind of seafood mix over pasta, also fabulous!

A large group of us were invited as part of a conference. We shared a mixture of starters and each ordered a main course and a desert. The food was tasty and well prepared but not what I would call "gourmet". We had some decent wine with good service.
