It was cold, raining and generally miserable. Fridays up the street had a 30 minute wait, so we stumbled into Mace's. On the advice of a man just inside the door (an employee? the owner? a local? who knows,) we went up the narrow stairs to the second floor and through the tiny first room into another small room with... Good location good near Logan Circle and various hotels in the area. The bar is not very large but it was very comfortable the night that I visited. However, I might think differently had that the place been crowded. The menu is nothing to get excited about and the food was just alright. What I really like about the place... More

We had good memories of Mace's Crossing, went there often in years past. We visited again for a sandwich around 6:30 PM on a recent visit to Philly. We wish we hadn't. It was ungodly loud. The people at the bar were shouting back and forth, the bartender was joining in and the background music was extremely loud. My wife... More

While taking a hop on hop off bus tour of the city our guide pointed out Maces Crossing and declared it to be the best burger in Philadelphia. We took him at his word and tried it. Since it is the only burger we ate in Philly I can't argue with him. It was a good burger and we got... More

Didn't mind the fact it was small restaurant but the food was not very good. I had read about this restaurant on trip advisor and reviews weren't bad. Service in the restaurant was very slow as we almost left before being served, wish we had left after trying to eat the food

We ate here the night before Thanksgiving, around 7. Not really busy. Walked in and we were greeted right away and sent upstairs. Nice little room up there with a fireplace and a great view of the city. Our waitress was attentive and very helpful with answering our questions regarding what to do/see/eat breakfast and transportation. Food was good and... More

The drinks are very good. We had the Deluxe burger and homemade pasta with meatballs and sausage which was good. I heard from others that the fish and chips are also good. It's a nice small brick building that has a 2nd floor with nice views. The 2nd floor dining area is quieter and has a TV to watch sports.

We sat outside - nice patio for dinner. Dinner was good ... but don't order the cheese fries appetizer unless you specify the type of cheese you want (sorry, but cheese wiz is NOT real cheese to me) .... disappointed they didn't offer to get us something else when it was obvious no one would eat them. But overall that... More

Our group was waiting 20 minutes before we were given a menu and they were not busy at all. We sat outside, because the inside smelled like a giant ashtray. I asked for a grilled chicken sandwich with only cheese and mayo and a salad with no onions. My chicken sandwich had mushrooms, onions, peppers, tomato and lettuce and there... More
