So glad I've found it. It seems small but it is such a gem. Good vibe, great coffee and amazing food. They also have vegan choice. Staff are friendly. Usually have a wait time but it's worth it. Menu is full with awesome food for breakfast, lunch or brunch. They also have great fresh baked goods. Love their chocolate banana... More

I have recently moved to the area and found this gem of a coffee shop. While the place is not large the atmosphere sure is. Friendly service, great coffee, fantastic food and a hipster vibe. You may have to wait in line, they are always busy, but well worth your time. You won't be disappointed. Oh I almost forgot to mention... More

If you feel like visiting European style cafe you should come to Black & Brew in the morning in spring or summer. You can enjoy your coffee and breakfast outside under the beautiful trees and next to "Philly art" colorful walls. There is a very nice Urban Jungle huge store cross the street, which helps to set positive mood for... More

I've been trying to be a vegetarian for one week and went to Black and Brew to try their paleo plate (minus the bacon). Service was fast and friendly, and the food tasted good too. Nice little coffee shop local vibe.

Black and Brew is nice comfortable neighbourhood cafe. Great for breakfast. Espresso is excellent, outdoor seating is a bonus.

Funky, fun environment for really good eating. Everything on the menu looked great. I had the breakfast burrito - add bacon - YUM! Oh and a banana nut muffin to go... delicious. Stand in line to order at the register. They give you a number and your drinks. Find yourself a seat, and they bring the food out - pretty... More

I've been a client of B&B for years now. It has never failed to deliver great food (for the price), great service and excellent coffee. The location is in the heart of East Passyunk Square. The atmosphere is very artsy and casual. Though sometimes it gets crowded I've never had to make a long waiting line. The menu is pretty... More

Don't you hate it when you go to your neighborhood/corner coffeeshop, hungry for breakfast but they only have little danishes/muffins? Well this is your spot. I love the casual, order at the counter approach, but without losing the service and quality of a full service restaurant. The menu is pretty extensive and there are specials to make it even harder... More

Stopped by for lunch with the family. Ordered a large portion of hummus with pita and vegetables, goat cheese salad, Caesar salad, and a very good chicken pesto sandwich. All food very good. Popular South Philly cafe with plenty of locals.

Huge breakfast and lunch menu, friendly service, solid coffee. Can sit at table or counter. Tiny place - can get a bit crowded.
