Food was great! The King's Onion Soup is the best I've had! Nice atmosphere for Gettysburg! Would definitely come again.

We went here as a family and I was not expecting much from what the outside looked like. The inside was beautiful. It made me feel as if I went back in time to an old tavern. The food was very good with good service. The price was a little high so you need to bring a big wallet. I... More

Even though the tavern is a little crowded, the experience is worth it. The food is very tasty. I recommend the spit roasted chicken.

We did not eat in the dining room. We chose to eat in the tavern after reading other reviews and viewing the menus online. You can essentially get the same food for lower prices and you get the ambiance of the tavern. The tavern itself was pretty neat. Word of warning - it is very dim (many people were using... More

What a neat place for a family to eat! Down in the basement next to candlelight, where it is cool, sitting next to a spring well. The food was delicious and more than enough for lunch! Love the little gift store next to it!

The food is a little pricey but well worth it. I asked for a medium rare burger and it was cooked perfectly. It is the oldest building in Gettysburg built in 1776 and has an early 1800's bar.

The building is the oldest one in Gettysburg and the staff and service is excellent! I highly recommend dining downstairs in the tavern, the atmosphere is wonderful!

After having done the 2 hour horseback tour of the battlefield in the 90* weather, we really needed water - along with some dinner. We were sticking around for a ghost tour later in the night and wanted to take a break! Dobbin House was right near the ghost tour office where we had just signed our waivers. The food... More
