I've been eating at the Texas Lunch since my oldest daughter was little (now 26). The place is still the same and the food continues to have that authentic taste. You can't go wrong by getting a hotdog smothered in onions and French fries with...More

This is a very famous place that's been here for a very long time. A real diner with tons of character and history. Stop by for a hot dog and fries.

Ok, after 30 years of visiting Gettysburg WHY have we not tried this place?!!! NEW FAV!! Wonderful service and food! This place made you feel at home immediately and the food was great. Famous for the hot dogs, you won't leave filling empty! Been around...More

Its "history" created our visit. The ambience is "old". Its charm is limited. Its food is average at best. For a hot dog fix and cheap eats for kids I can't knock it. But the Chili on the dog was SO bland, Soup could have...More

I've been going to Ernie's since his dad, Charlie ran it. Only place I'd get a hot dog in town. Two with, onions on the side!

You're not going to find a cheap diner with more local authenticity than this place. The food is basic & "nothing to write home about" but the service is fast & friendly. The atmosphere hasn't changed in decades, which gives it a very genuinely vintage...More

Being from the great state of Texas, the name of this diner caught my eye. I had just finished the Marine Corps Marathon in DC a few days ago & my friend & I were sightseeing in the area. Our waitress was an older lady...More

Great place for breakfast (I was there at 6:00, very few people). Great service from Karen and Tressy, just don't get Karen mad at you (LOL). Good food, friendly atmosphere fast service. Will return.

Google "Ernie Texas Gettysburg Menu" and you should find a picture of the menu online. It lists a lot of items other than a hot dog. Items include sandwiches, wraps, salads, soups, sides, and dinner platters.

Hi You would have to rent out the whole place to sit that many people. All they have is counter seating and a few tables. Nothing where everybody could sit together. I would call them and see if they would work with you.
