It's like the end of an era - Richard's offered the best Camel Rider in Jacksonville for more than 35 years, but the building has been sold, and Richard's has closed its doors for good. According to the newspaper, the new owner plans to demolish the building, and turn the property into a parking lot for a business he owns... More

There's something about this place that is very charming. It's family owned and just feels like one of those place you went to as a kid before fast food joints were everywhere. The food is nothing special but the atmosphere and getting to chit chat with the owner make it feel special. Plus the prices are great.

Broad sandwich menu plus. Almost every... More

They make a pretty good breakfast pita. Reasonably priced and decent sized. This place is popular with people that work nearby, it can get busy in the mornings. The service has always been pleasant and fast.

Richard's Sandwich Shop in the Five Points shopping area, has been a fixture in the Riverside Neighborhood for decades. They offer the best Camel Riders** in Jacksonville, very good club sandwiches and other fare; the prices are reasonable, and the service is both fast and friendly. Go there regularly and they will recognize you the next time and, if you... More
