We saw a very long line for the bowpicker and went somewhere else for lunch, but at dinner the line was shorter so we stopped.... It was well worth the wait.. Quick friendly service and the fish was so good. We will come back

Well, it's as good as I've heard. Visiting from Idaho, I heard about this place at work when I mentioned we were going to be in Astoria. The tuna is amazing, crunchy, the best you'll find. Get the full order and go for it.

It's a cool Bowpicker boat in front of the old armory overlooking the Columbia River so you can sit and have your fish and chips at a picnic table when it's not raining or in the comfort of your vehicle.

They are worth the wait...and normally you will have to wait. They only serve fish and chips if I remember correctly, but boy are they good!!

Waited in line over an hour based on Trip Advisor Reviews. The batter on the fish and the frying process was good. We just did not care for the tuna at all! This would have been great with cod & and faster service.

Wait in a winding line leading to a "shipwreck". Order the one thing on the menu they sell and grab a pop out of the Coleman Cooler. Then try to find a seat and/or a good piece of shade to sit and eat. When you...More

Lots if quirky places in Astoria. Go to the place by maritime museum, it is an actual boat on land. Serves albacore tuna fish n chips, long lines at times. Ship inn has great food too.
