Restaurant is on two levels with the main door on second level. No signage directing you to park in the back. They use a gravy like sauce on enchiladas. Did not like. Had a shredded beef taco and it been sitting in juice before serving and it had so much liquid in it the taco shell was ruined. Service was... More

This is our favorite place for Mexican food in Astoria. It is locally owned and you always feel welcomed. The "usual" Mexican dishes, but the food is very good - love their sauces. Service is good and it seems the owner/manager always stops by to see if everything is OK. The restaurant is on the main highway (US-30) under the... More

The experience began with a fresh mushroom salsa which at first piqued my oscillatory senses and found its cresendo in a fantastic balance of flavor- and each one very definitely fresh! The host/bartender is a warm, charismatic man who immediately makes one feel welcome, and who's understanding of blending drinks is on par with the kitchen's skill in melding fresh... More

We've dined here several times. Service is timely, and very friendly. Food is just good. Salsa is very bland. Nice place but, there are better in town.

Juan was the most amazing server - five stars! We ordered fajitas to share - huge even shared. The chips were hot and fresh, and the salsa was tasty. Very reasonable. Like that it is locally owned. Will surely come back. Gracias, amigos!

The absolute BEST Mexican food we have ever had. Also had a Gold Margarita that was fantastic. Service was prompt and attentive.

Not great. There are several better Mexican restaurants in Astoria. The food was just mediocre, dry beans and easily could have been better,

We inquired with hotel staff where we could find good Mexican food and they suggested El Tapatio". You walk upstairs and enter a room full of color and good aromas. Sat in a comfy booth looking out to the bay. Ordered a Cadillac Matgarita( yes full bar) which at first was very sweet and just mix, our waitress brought me... More

Hi. So, if I want Mexican food and don't want to drive, this is where I go. I've eaten here about six times and the food is very straight-forward, exactly what you ask for, no bells-or-whistles, no crazy surprises, and portions are large. The chips and salsa are delicious, service is always good. The beans are lardy, and I kinda... More
