If you have one meal in Astoria have it here! Marco is an amazing chef! I recommend sitting at the bar so you can watch him cook and chat with him. Also - don't miss the jellies home made from peppers and one from garlic. You'll never taste anything like them! If you can't decide what to eat ask the... More

When in Astoria, if you are into something out of the ordinary, you must stop here! The food is outstanding. Let me say here, I would never try a beet in a restaurant before this. My wife ordered the beet pesto and arugula pesto pasta dish and it was out if this world great! We almost stopped the next day... More

I had time to kill so I just went with it, but when it happened the second day too (and at other restaurants) I started to wonder: is Astoria on a different time/space continuum? Not necessarily a bad thing, but I should have had a snack before visiting a restaurant. There is nothing like the Columbian Cafe, it is one... More

A small, dumpy little cafe that doesn't look very inviting, but the counter being filled with locals is a good sign. Last insight we had coho salmon that was superb. Don't be put off by the appearance if you like great food, especially fish.

We did not expect the fun menu w/ a specials menu with a south of the border twist. The spicy jellies on homemade toast were really good.

Do NOT be put off by the looks of Columbian. It is small and funky but with great, innovative food. How about a smoked pork loin chipotle omelet? Wonderful!!! There were about 10 specials and a regular menu. I'll be back!

The man who runs it is obsessed - talk about farm to table. He will have picked your herbs that day and driven to a nearby farm for your fig jam. Prices are not cheap and neither is the experience. I only review my most memorable places on trips and this place is one of them.

OK I admit that everything was fresh & was a joy on the palate,...but well over an hour for an Omelet ??? That was the average wait time & by reading other reviews that seems to be the norm! So if you want to get caught up on solving the world problems after an hour or so later a delicious... More

This is one of my favorite, if not my #1 favorite, restaurant in the world! I have a friend who lives in Astoria, and every time I visit, I insist on a trip to Columbian Cafe. It has never disappointed!! The think I love most I think (besides the amazing food), is that it is tiny and the service is... More

We were in Astoria for one weekend and went back here for breakfast every time. Really good fresh quality. Great recipes done with care. Don't be in a hurry. Relax and enjoy it.
