Terrific bar scene. Enjoy interacting with staff about the Steelers they give as good as they take. Great food and drink. One of our favorite places in Fells Point, it is a must stop destination

I stopped in for a beer after work while traveling in the area. I really like craft beer and must admit I was really impressed with their beer selection. In May we visited an American style brewery in Barcelona Spain. Since then I'd only seen one bottle from that brewery in a high end beer store. Max's Taphouse had 4... More

Ended up there on accident, but what a great place. if you like craft beer you may never leave. Over 100 beers on tap , and probably as many bottles. Something there for everyone. Also have a great (pub food) menu.

Was in town visiting a cousin and decided to meet up for some grub and some beers. Excellent spot. I met a lot of locals here who love their Orioles and their beer. Since there are so many choices I found it easier to get the list of beers on tap and their bottle list. I wanted to try locally... More

Stopped by during our visit to the Fells Point Festival. We went upstairs due to the large crowd on the first floor. Bartender was very nice. Some folks were eating wings and other bar food, which looked good.

First, Max's is a taphouse, so you are going to find a lot of beers. The bartenders generally know all of the beers, so let them guide you in what you might want to try. Max's has beer festivals several times a year, which are based on various countries beer. Recently, they held a German Oktoberfest festival with a large... More

Max's Taphouse is a cool place in Fells Point about 30 min walk from the inner harbor. I visited the place on a Saturday night where the pub was crouded by young people. But even better Max's Taphouse has a huge selection of different beers. So if you want a really good pub with lots of atmosphere and good beers... More

Food was good enough, beer was better. Odd ordering style that is easy enough, but the bar is very loud and if you don't know the deal, it can be hard to learn. No table service.
