This has been the worst experience with a gift card EVER. My wife and I received a twenty dollar electronic gift card from my parents for our visit to Savannah in January. Our last day in the city, we went in person, stood in line...for fifty minutes, and bought twenty dollars of ice cream… only to be told the gift card doesn’t work for purchases made in the store itself (the gift card section on the website does NOT specify it can only be used online). We pay the twenty dollars and figured we’d use the gift card for buying ice cream electronically for my birthday in April. Today we went on Leopold’s website and it’s 13 dollars a pint and you have to purchase a minimum of 5 pints (and twenty dollars looks to be the cheapest option for shipping), I’m looking at spending eighty five dollars plus tax just to use a gift card of twenty. Holy cow. My choice is either to let this go (at which point me and my family have paid 40 dollars for 20 dollars worth of dessert) OR use the gift card electronically (to spend another sixty five dollars on five pints of ice cream). Great.More

This place knows how to keep the line moving efficiently. Even though the line was out the door, it moved fast and we didn’t wait longer than 10 minutes. The ice cream is so creamy and refreshing on a warm Savannah afternoon. I had the...lemon custard and it was perfect. My husband had the caramel swirl and there’s real homemade caramel in it. So so good!More

We had passed by a few times and each time the line was long. The day was warmer when we went on Monday so we waited. The problem seems to be the staff serve each person in the party instead of 1 staff member serving...an entire party, so the line stays long. It was ok, I had chocolate chip. It wasn't mind blowing but was ok. In Cali we are spoilt by so many ice creams choices so this was no big deal to us.More

Long wait but friendly customers in line. Waited about an hour during the week. Staff offered everyone waiting glasses of water while waiting. Many traditional ice cream flavors along with many others!!

We tried to go to Leopold's on Broughton Street in the afternoon. The line up the sidewalk was huge. Not happening. So we went back after dinner. The line was shorter and more manageable. The ice cream is very good. Dense, creamy. I wish I...could have ordered more than two scoops in one serving! We have a lot of great ice cream places in the greater Boston area and Leopold's would be right up there with them. I was surprised to see they have a location outside of security at the airport. I was even more surprised to see a booth down in the area of the gates. Unfortunately, our plane departed before that location opened for the day. Otherwise, I would have made the other passengers envious as I carried my double scoop of Leopold's onto the plane to enjoy!More

This was the worst ice cream I ever had-definitely NOT worth the wait, and the place is dirty and people cut in all the time

The ice cream was terrible-my niece threw her shake out it was so awful. Also people cut in line after others wait 1 hour and staff don’t care.More

Leopold’s is recognizable by the lengthy lines outside the store. Take time, chat with people, study that long list of enticing flavors, anticipate, and enjoy.

We went to Leopolds in the evening and very little wait although we had seen the line down the block earlier in the day. The coffee ice cream is delicious and my family members loved their flavors too, particularly the pistachio. Highly recommend stopping by...and / or grabbing a pint at your hotel or a grocery store like we did after our initial visit!More

The staff is so...friendly and the treats are to die for! Very generous portions too! Don't miss out on this stop!!More

We loved it so much, we stood in that line three different evenings. The ice cream was delicious and the ambience was very fun. Staff was great. Nice touch offering water and answering questions to the folks standing in line!

I'm a solo traveler, traveling with my dog. I saw a line and said why not? It pains me to say that the line is NOT worth it people. Yes, it was great, but nothing to write home about, unfortunately. I'm shocked that so many...people are willing to stand in this massive line for ice cream...I'm here for it, but shocked. If you're just curious about the hype, then sure, why not try it? Don't expect to be swept off your feet though.More

The atmosphere was so nostalgic and we loved the jukebox. We got a sugar cone with a scoop of the "Savannah Socialite”, and it was so creamy and rich. They parlor has plenty of seating available and plays great music too. It should be on...every Savannah itinerary!More
