I love to bake and I am a cookie snob. You'll never find me eating a Chips Ahoy. The cookies at Back in the Day are amazing. Chocolate Chip was phenomenal. Black Eyed Susan was also great. We didn't love the Lavender shortbread, but I am not a fan of lavender in cooking. If you are, I suspect you'd adore... More

I always enjoy lunch at this spot and I often recommend it to friends who aren't disappointed. Their sandwiches are always good and I enjoy their pastries.

I figured being a Saturday morning they would have had a bigger selection to choose from. While the food was good, I'm a bit surprised they got the James Beard award. Service was fine, smiling at the customers can go a long way.

Must try the grilled cheese! The fresh breads and deserts are so amazingly good - can't go wrong here. Check it out!

Interesting place for breakfast. Not fancy, but good food. If you are from out of town, don't go out of your way to get there. But if you are in the neighborhood, stop in.

This is a place where all the locals come so you know it has to be good. The service was good. It is more on the outskirts of the historical district so would need a car to get here. Everything we had was great, so fresh tasting. Our chicken salad sand which was tasty, the brownie, and lavender cookie fantastic... More

This is my new best and favorite for sweets in Savannah. I had said Lulu's cafe but their cakes are cold, dry and don't seem fresh. I had a chocolate espresso chess pie here. May be one of the best pieces of pie I have ever tasted, moderately sweet, silky smooth, incredible crust, reasonably priced. My wife got the simple... More

Everything we ate was good. Biscuits were great. My only issue was the lack of baked goods. Odd that a bakery would have a choice of a few cookies, one brownie, a few loads of bread and one pie. We went at opening and I asked if that was all they were putting out for the day and they said... More

Stopped for breakfast on this day (Tuesday). We had passed by on weekends and the line is insane. Only two people ahead of us. Friendly and helpful staff. Had an everything biscuit with egg and cheddar and a coffee. The biscuit is crazy good on its own but with their scrambled egg (made with some herbs) it was over the... More

This was the highlight of my trip to Savannah. I was able to meet Cheryl and have my cookbook signed by both her and Griffith, she stood and talked with me and my son for a few minutes and recognized us when we came back and again interacted with my 4 year old who has a new found interest in...
