Needed a little break from all the heavy southern food so stopped off here. Our wait staff were friendly and attentive. We had shrimp tacos and Mexican chicken salad. Both were very good. Also had hummus for a starter which was the best part of the meal. Would recommend for light/vegetarian type food.

Kayak Kafe was the perfect place to detox from all the heavy Southern food weighing us down on our trip. Very popular lunch place; when the two of us stopped by at lunchtime on a Saturday, we were put on a waiting list and asked to wait in an area that doubles as the lobby of the adjacent health club.... Great food, friendly server but too busy to take proper care of us. I don't blame her but the owner for the understaffing. Tomato basil soup tastes a little scorched.

We stopped here for dinner and were pleased by the vegetarian options. The service was adequate. The cod was overcooked but the guacamole, hummus, and panini were done well.

Salads and sandwiches so fresh, light and delish! A perfect lunch spot. The patio is pet friendly, the local beer is really good (coastal empire southern delight...I think it was) and the service was excellent. We shared a hummus appetizer and I had a panini and my husband had a huge chicken salad.

If you just need to eat and get the kids fed, this will do. Food was average at best. I had the Southwestern Chicken Caesar and it was very, very boring. My margarita was mediocre at best.

Kayak Kafe is one of the places I have been to more than once in downtown Savannah. In general, there is so many options that we try to not frequent the same places and try new ones instead. But, I love the spinach and shrimp salad here! It has local shrimp, spinach, artichokes, feta (who does't love feta?!), peppercinis, and... More

A local recommended this establishment and it was perfect. FRESH food. Soups, salads and sandwiches. It was a welcome reprieve from all the heavy restaurant meals we had while on vacation.

No wait for 7:15 dinner. Inside and outside seating. Fast and friendly service. Wide range of good menu choices. Food was very good. Prompt drink refills. Yes, it is at the entrance of a fitness center. Other than the initial confusion of the combination that did not interfere with our service or meals. Fair prices for this prime location. Food...
