This is by far the best place for Arabic food, they have the usual shawerma and fast food options, but they also have daily dishes. Very clean and very yummy. If you love Arabic food, this is your place in Boston.

I had the Veggie Combo plate that had stuffed grape leaves (really tasty), hummus (SOOOO good), tabouli, salad (yum) and falafel. It came with pita and tahini. First, I ordered at the counter and the meal was ready within 5 minutes with friendly service. It was a very generous serving, and I wasn't even able to finish it all. The... More

The first clue that this restaurant was not going to be good should have been the Best of Boston award from 1992!. It's probably been down hill since then. Heard from an acquaintance that this place had good middle eastern food. Definitely not the case. Ordered the chicken shawarma plate which consisted of large slabs of dried out chicken on... More

Everyone raves about (or hates) the chicken shawarma here, which is understandable. I actually find the chicken a little dry, but I'm no expert. The wraps are loaded with tahini, salad, pickles, and an intense garlic-cream, and the whole is a very good sandwich. But actually, this place is all about the daily dishes. Usually about half are vegetarian. There's... More

As a Shawarma lover, I've had it all over the world. This one rates as THE worst ever. Any amount if tehini added did not help this dried up pieces of meat (both the chicken and the lamb). The only thing saving them from one star is the side salad that was ok. The place is not attractive and everything... More

My first time at this neighborhood favorite. Don't miss Za'attar Bread - so yum, esp w Labneh dip. Dependable, clean Mid East staples, with bonus family friendly vibe and price tag.

4 of us back again after 4 long years, sitting outside the small restaurant, Lebanese family owned, started in 1992, fabulous Mezze spread, same old Lebanese food, healthy veggie delights for a change, will visit again for sure! Located on Beacon Street, a nice boulevard, plenty of parking around, a beautiful neighborhood, close to Boston university. http://shawarmakingbrookline.com Order on line... More

It's basically a storefront on Beacon Street, near Coolidge Corner, the heart of Brookline. The felafel and hummus are especially good, and others rave about the shawarma, esp chicken. (I go back often but always for the felafel.) There are enough tables-- you order and get your food at the long counter, and the staff is very nice. Service is... More
