Place is super small. Bar area is timy and get packed quick! Must say was a bit disappointed with the caiprinahs. Tons of sugar but not muddled all that well. Yes I know its a sugar based drink but the sugar wasnt even dissolved? I have had them much better elsewhere. Food smelled great but didnt eat.

The favela decor theme is really striking -- they have done a really great job with it. My lunch was the potato and onion soup with collard greens and a dish of croquettes. Everything tasted fresh and home-made and excellent. I also enjoyed the pomegranate caipirinha. I did have the following reservations: - the cocktails are overpriced -- certainly not... More

The atmosphere is really amazing - you feel in Brazil and the live band is great. The food though is average and 20% gratuity was added to our bill whereas we were only 3. The service wasn't worth 20% for this reason I am not sure we would come back. I recommend for drinks and enjoying the live band.

We were lured in by the sign outside. Turned out it was just a lunch sign, even if it didn't say so on the sign. We had to choose from the menu and the rest is just a sad and expensive story. Bland food, bad chairs. This is the worst money I have spent on my vacation.

The review title comes from the several native brasileiras ( Brasilians - yes, with an "s" not a "z" ) who have frequented this authentic Brasilian botequim, or tavern. Visited for a noon lunch on a beautiful fall week-day, yet it took some effort to find a parking space. Solving that challenge, walked a block to the restaurant, entered and... More
