We made reservations for 7:30 but arrived early enough to enjoy some whisky in the bar beforehand. Great decision! Wide selection of Rye (of course) bourbon & scotch in a comfortable, funky basement. Then we went upstairs for dinner. The wait staff was super friendly, the wine suggestion was perfect and the special, duck lasagna, was delicious.

An old style European restaurant with a nice drink and wine selection. I suggest the Malbec by the glass. We shared the short rib and the chicken and both were delicious. Try the mac and cheese and brusselsprouts as starters. Service was good and dinning at the bar at this local eatery would be a good choice if alone or... More

I've been eating at Rye for years. They continue to impress me with their seasonal menu and cozy, comfort food. They make delicious cocktails as well. This time we tried had the ribs and the baked cheese and bacon cauliflower dish! The staff are super friendly and welcoming. I can't wait to go back.

Had dinner here on a Tuesday evening and was absolutely delighted with the whole experience. A very attractive. low-lit room with friendly staff. All four of us were very happy with our food choices. My ribs had such an incredible flavour with effort also made with presentation and texture. Loved them. Interesting beer options too.

Three of us dined at Rye. We started with the brussels sprouts and oysters. The brussels sprouts were the best I have ever tasted. They would make a hater of brussels sprouts love them they were so tasty. The oysters were very fresh. For an entree we had the rabbit, duck, and lamb shank. All were superb. In addition we... More

The decor is a little bit like New Orleans but the food isn't. Try the house made donuts - they are more like big donut holes. If you like cake donuts, you will love these, hot and fresh. The service was good and the server was knowledgeable about the menu as well as early afternoon wine/champagne selections. All in all,... More

Picked this place from a Telegraph review and we were very happy we did. The food, service and ambience were excellent and seemed to personify what's great about Brooklyn. Get here if you can. The chicken dish was amazing!!!

Group of four went to dinner...so we had the option of trying four different entrees. Short ribs and meatloaf sandwich were amazing. Highly recommend either entree. The warm peach cobbler with homemade raspberry ice cream was the best way to end the meal. Will return the next time I am in Brooklyn.
