This is a small restaurant with a few things on the menu--classically French situation! About 6 tables inside and 2-3 outside. The perfectly cooked food makes for a true cafe experience. Lots of wine choices. Magnifique!

My wife and I had a lovely al fresco late night dinner at this hospitable and unpretentious French bistro near the Harvey Theatre. No published wine list as the passionate wine-centric owner likes to surprise you with one of his carefully selected wines. Delicious and reasonable.

We loved it -- everybody loved it. It was a great go-to pre-BAM (Brooklyn Academy of Music) for a simple supper, good French specialties. The neighborhood is still in mourning, 3 months later.

This is my go to spot for date night. Very romantic. Very quaint. The staff is friendly and kind and most of all genuine. Summertime you can sit out in front and people watch while you sip on a glass of wine #brooklyngem

Small. Friendly. No complaints. Coffee was hot and crepe was good. Reasonably priced. Mostly 20 somethings on dates. Did I mention small.

It was not my first time in Cafe Lafayette, I went there previously for lunch with a friend. Recently I went for dessert with my daughter. It is just divine. The atmosphere is just cozy, charming and makes you feel welcome. Like you are in a little cocoon outside the noisy world. I like to go there anytime I have... More

This is the best French food I've had outside of Paris. It's cozy, unpretentious, charming, and they do everthing right. Eating here doesn't have to be a big affair- brunch or coffee is possible and it won't break the bank. I've been here half a dozen times and it's always been a wonderful experience. Well worth the trip to Ft.... More

We stopped in here a couple of times for lunch on our trip to New York and had a great lunch both times. Really great burgers and such friendly service....we could have chatted to the staff for hours.

Visited Cafe Lafayette on a Sunday afternoon with family members who have a wide range of both eating interests and limitations - and this cute little place in Fort Greene satisfied everyone! Friendly service was a nice plus, too. From the crepes and panini sandwiches to the Croque Madame and French Toast, every dish was attractive to see and delicious... More

Like a cozy little spot you'd be lucky to happen upon in Paris- this is a delightful little place just off Fulton Street in Fort Green. The food is excellent, I think the staff are mostly (if not all) from France. They do it right. Great food and unpretentious. Not overpriced which is such a breath of fresh air in... More
