I've been to Fiorentino's as an annual tradition every year for the last 5 or 6 years, and I am writing this review today as I am sad I'll be missing the dinner this weekend. Coming to this restaurant is like stepping back into a time machine, as the food and the people probably have not changed (I'm guessing) since... More

This place is unbelievable! Real authentic Italian dishes! Fresh ingredients and some amazing old school recipes here. We had the clams oreganato, fried calamari and fresh artichokes. All 3 were amazing! The freshest and tastiest calamari I've ever had. Cooked perfect! The veal sorentino was amazing and the saltimboca was just as delicious and an extremely generous portion. Gotta try... More

who accompanied us. It was a late lunch and they only had a dinner menu, which was fine by me. I had the grilled seafood and my wife had the veal parmigiana. The first course was the chicken soup which was fresh but had an unusual taste to it. The scallops were undercooked, even after telling the waiter that I... More

It's noisy, eclectic, friendly, but above all, the food is great. New York City is losing all sense of good Neapolitan fare. Restaurants claim to serve southern Italian food by slopping cheese (and processed at that!) all over everything, This bastardizes the original intent and flavor of a perfectly good meal and destroys what would have been a great dish.... I grew up in Brooklyn and my mother who is 80 years old still lives there. Every time I'm in town we go to Fiorentino's and have been going there for years. It is one of a handful of Italian restaurants that hasn't changed in decades. Their hayday is long gone as are the lines out the door but the... More

This is a large, well appointed restaurant in a classic Italian neighborhood. The food is well prepared and the service attentive. Portions are large and many of the neighboring tables seemed to be ordering appetizers in lieu of entrees. The Chianti was not interesting but the large glass was full. My only concern was that this restaurant was rated B... More

I originally went to Fiorentino's by default. I was going to Joe's of Avenue U and it was closing. They recommended going to Fiorentino's on the next block. I was so glad they did. Twice a year when I visited Brooklyn....I NEVER missed a visit (with family members) to Fiorentino's!! I used to live in Naples, Italy and if I... More
