We had to stay in Brooklyn after our flight got postponed. We made a point of seeking this place out because of the reviews. It is the stereotypical and traditional NY Diner from the decor to the staff! I was having trouble choosing a pancake to try then was informed that I could get 3 DIFFERENT styles in one ORDER!... This place was hectic and hot and so worth the visit. Portions are huge but the food is so tasty. Felt like 'real' Brooklyn after eating in so many hipster joints during our stay. And whatever you think...three pancakes in this place is more than enough!

This is not the fanciest of restaurants. The place need some updating. OK a lot of updating. But don't let that fool you. The food was excellent. The restaurant serves family style. We were in a group of 9. Everything from the clams casino, anti pasta, to the pasta and entree were great. There was plenty of food. More than... More

You might walk in and be tempted to walk right back out. But don't! The inside of the restaurant which is covered with wood paneling and smells like smoke, is not representative of the food, which is amazing. I don't think I've ever had a better pasta dish. And the bacon appetizer is amazing -- just get it and ask... More

Finally. .a good authentic italian restaurant. They are hard to come by in this old italian neighborhood. I went with a party of four. I was handed a menu and was told by "Jose" our very entertaining waiter to have a look at their updated menu. So we did. Wow. ..we ordered the blue cheese wedge salad, fresh mozzarella salad,... I went here with a bunch of friends for a reunion of sorts. We had a nice long table in this small restaurant. The menu is very limited, but I understand that this is an improvement from years ago when there was no menu! Anyway, we had linguine in clam sauce and manicotti as appetizers. they were delicious, the manicotti... More

You will probably only have been here on recommendation by or with a local. It really is a hidden gem. No need to dress up, Two TOMS is a casual affair. The food is italian home-cooking at its best, it's simply delicious. The pork chops are the biggest I've ever seen! The staff are super-friendly too. Portions are big and... More

There's nothing like sitting down to a five course Italian feast with the Islanders hockey game playing in the corner. In other words it's a comfortable spot with excellent cuisine, nothing fancy though. So forget the suit jacket.
