We've been coming here regularly since Al Di La opened in 1998. You might be forgiven for shunning reviews from locals, however as locals we know the restaurants in the area well, and are even more discriminating as restaurants come and go or lose their...More

I dined there a few weeks ago. The host directed me to the bar location as he did not want to give me a 2-top table since I was dining alone on this occasion. He was very surly and unwelcoming. Food was decidedly mediocre. I...More

We had brunch here, and were quite satisfied, but not blown away (given the restaurant's reputation). The banana french toast, with a dollop of whipped ricotta, was very good, as was the grilled fish sandwich. The crispy potatoes weren't all that crispy. And there were...More

Very attentive and knowledge. Mussels were delicious. The Fish was tender, moist and flavorful. The atmosphere was pleasant, but difficult for conversation secondary to noise level.

Small, intimate with old world ambiance. Very good staff and service who met the needs of our 18 month old. The food was a taste treat (try the spaghetti vongole with clams!) It was a bit loud but quieted some as our meal progressed. Definitely...More

Authentic Italian dishes and a good selection of wine, with attentive service, made our meal very pleasant. The salmon was perfectly cooked.

This is one of our daughter's favorite neighborhood restaurants. We made a date for Fathers' Day with the immediate family. Started with a pasta ragu dish that was marvelous. I followed this first dish with the veal chop with polenta special. The chop was good...More

We went early at 5:30 when they open. They don't take reservation and it was a Saturday night and the restaurant filled up fast. The food is Tuscan with a hint of Venice (squid pasta). Excellent and creative salads, appetizers, entrees and desserts; reasonable prices...More

I love it here. This restaraunt is why I say food is better in Brooklyn than Manhattan. The atmosphere is charming. The service was friendly and prompt.
