My husband and I chose to eat here on our visit to Grand Marais. The family who own this actually catches the fish and then also cooks it for you. They also supply the fish to the other restaurants in Grand Marais including the two fish restaurants that are located beside and across the street. Those places charge high prices... More

Recommended by some locals. Whitefish basket was very good. Indoor and outdoor seating with a nice view of the harbor. Prices were very reasonable. Nothing fancy but clean, efficient and friendly.

My husband is very sensitive to spicy foods. He ordered a cup of shrimp chowder. It was so spicy with the added chili powder that he couldn't eat it.

You can't get fish any fresher. This is the real deal with the restaurant being run by a local commercial fisherman and his wife. Great service. You can't find anything like this on the north shore. They also have smoke fish to die for.

This was the perfect stop for us on 61 for dinner. It was fast, the food was good, service was friendly, and they allow pets in the front street side dining area which was what we needed since our dog was traveling with us. Had some good beers and tried both the cod and walleye fish and chips. Go with... More

We went there after a day in the woods and were famished. We both ordered fish and it was very good. We ordered at the counter and they brought the food to us. We sat outside overlooking the bay. We would definitely go back

Very convenient to have lunch here while attending class at the North House Folk School next door. Quick service and delicious chowders.
