Beautiful setting to relax for a meal. They don't take reservations for groups under five, so if you come during a rush, you will be asked to wait in the solarium. Once seating the rest of the process is pretty "leisurely". Soups and sandwiches were...More

If you haven't been there, get there. If you have, go back. What an exciting past for such a lovely restaurant. Good food, good service in a beautiful setting equals a great time. No time like the present. Tim and Jane

Excellent waitress, excellent walleye sandwich, excellent grilled whitefish, all in a mind-boggling historic setting, painted as if a Cree medicine man had discovered LSD 100 years ago. Beautiful. Stunning fireplace that required 200 tons of local rock. We did not stay here but wanted to...More

My wife and I had lunch in the Naniboujou Restaurant. The food was superior to other restaurants we visited in Grand Marais. I would suggest that you go online and view their menu. The menu offers a variety of choices. If you want to stay...More

Stopped in prior to hiking Devil's Kettle. Hung out for a bit and decided to have dessert after a late lunch in Grand Marais. The five of us shared the peach cobbler, chocolate torte, rhubarb cheesecake. Not a crumb left.

This is an AMAZING place. You have to see the interior work if you tour or even if you live along the North Shore. The history is great and the food is fantastic. We go there every year for my wife's birthday. The maple glazed...More

We stopped in on a week night on our way back from a day trip into Canada and were seated for dinner after a short wait (which we spent enjoyably in the large solarium). Dinner was very tasty - although the food is prepared and...More

We all thoroughly enjoyed our meals as well as the decor, peaceful atmosphere and excellent service. There are lots of creative choices on the menu, and helpful servers. We've been here twice now and both times it's been fantastic. My mom loves the homemade lemonade.

The place is pretty interesting. Cool decor with original pain from 1929 (don't quote me there). It felt like we were a bit underdressed in shorts and t shirts, but others were in there wearing the same after we arrived. Everything was good, walleye sandwich...More

My family stayed here a number of years ago so Mom and I decided to return for lunch. It was worth the trip. My favorite wild rice soup was on the menu and the tasty meal was enhanced by the brilliantly painted restaurant flanked by...More

As a general rule, early is always better . . . and we do take reservations for parties of 5 or more (because we only have a few larger tables). For parties of 4 or less, IF there is a wait, it has not been significant... More

We were at this restaurant in summer. I imagine hours might differ over the year. The management could help. Phone them up.
