Not much to look at - but I have to say the food was spectacular. works like the whole family is working there- but a great dinner choice for all tastes. The Prime rib is just as good as the Trout!

Whenever we are fortunate to visit Gatlinburg, we go to the Trout House. They have their own parking lot and the staff is super friendly and hospitable. The maple bacon trout was the best! I give it only 4 stars due to the cost.

This is a great place! It is small, seats about 44 people . Food great, service great. The entrees come with hushpuppies and salad before the plate comes to the table. The food is good. This place is a must stop fish, trout, prime rib, rib eye- Chicken breast, country ham..., kids menu.. wow !

Fresh FISH! I had the grilled with a little blackened seasoning. My spouse had lemon rice stuffed trout. Both are good. Yes there are small bones.

Looking for an authentic mountain meal experience? Tired of the tourist dining scene, we sought out this quaint log-cabin restaurant that has been here at least since 1975. Family owned by locals, The Trout House offers fresh mountain trout fixed several ways: fried, blackened, grilled, sautéed in Moonshine and more. Try the Trout Eisenhower, coated in cornmeal and pan-seared with... More

We stopped here after being in the Park for the day. The atmosphere was warm and friendly. We both had trout prepared differently. It was very good! We had key lime pie for dessert which was great. Good experience. Would definitely recommend.

We are repeat visitor's to The Trout House and we're always made to feel like family/friends. The food is excellent! Our favorite is the Trout Eisenhower served with a butter and bacon sauce on the side, a great salad and, for us, baked potato. Many of the desserts (if not all) are homemade. Parking is available across the street and... More

A bit pricy for the amount of food offered. Cozy ambiance. On street with windows and a fireplace. Grilled trout somewhat overseasoned for my taste. Two trout dinners and water about $45.

My husband doesn't like fish, but after he tried their special Smoke trout with mushrooms, onions and bacon, he loved it! Such an awesome comfortable place!

While visiting Gatlinburg for a few days, we wanted to try a "local" restaurant to experience something we could only find in the area. After a little research, we came up with this unique restaurant. We made a reservation (recommended) and set off for our evening. Upon arrival 10 minutes before our reservation time, we were shown to our table.... More

Smoky Mountain Trout House prides itself on offering absolutely the freshest trout in Gatlinburg. Our trout are ice packed directly to the restaurant. Once it has arrived we take great care in our preparing your selection exactly as you like. All of the trout served in this restaurant are Rainbow Trout, grown in the sparkling clear waters of the Smokies. The purity and flavor of mountain trout offered great pleasure to the original settlers of the Smokies. So... have a seat, rest a spell and you, too, can enjoy a special treat... real Smoky Mountain trout! Thank you for visiting us and remember to treat yourself to trout... It's as good as all outdoors!
