Met a friend for brunch, food average but music and employees made it a good morning. This is a unique community cafe co-op, a place to have a nice long visit over a meal without feeling rushed. They have been there 20 years, with big plans to continue their presence starting with a GoFundMe campaign to build an espresso bar.

I love this place. It is under new management and the food is great. There is live entertainment. This is a local meeting place for young and old. And yes once you've been here they do know your name.

Lebanese food is very good. Not a fancy place. The staff was helpful answering some questions as we aren't experts on Lebanese cuisine. Portions were generous and the food was good. As other reviewers have said, its a bit of a local hang out. Back part of the restaurant area has a stage for live music, open mic nights, poetry... More

Nice place for good Lebanese food, great gazpacho, falafel and kibee. Family run business. Sat outside. It's located across from co-op supermarket.

The New Deal Cafe (NDC) is in a nice location in the Roosevelt center in old town Greenbelt (Centerway at the intersection of Southway and Crescent Road.) Dine inside or outside. The atmosphere is casual and comfortable. The staff is helpful and friendly. From the bar, enjoy some wine or interesting draft beer such as Nude Eel, a flavorful IPA... More

Right across the plaza from the Greenbelt movie theater (great place to see a movie - the only arts house in Prince George's County). Middle eastern menu that you order at the counter. They bring the food to your table. Always tasty and reliable. Good beers on tap and entertainment at night. Funky fun place .

Tucked in the heart of Greenbelt, itself an unusual planned community founded (inspired?) by Eleanor Roosevelt, the New Deal Cafe hearkens back to leaner times. The cuisine is Middle Eastern; the lighting is Soviet era dark; the ambiance is hushed. They have live music on a regular basis (folks in the pre-revival mode). Republicans (and even post-New Deal Democrats) need... More

First, this is an incredibly hard place to find even with GPS. We ended up parking on the wrong end of a confusing, open-air shopping-center and wandering around. Second, I got the impression it was more a gathering place that a restaurant. People gathered in small groups talking and the waiters seem to be part of that. It wasn't particularly... More

Good mediterranian/middle eastern food in old Greenbelt. Friendly staff, wide menu, good beers on tap with a nice outside area. My biggest complaint is the front dining room is dismal looking and poorly lit. Feels kind of run down which is a shame because the kitchen is great.
