After several visits to Osteria, their consistency is confirmed. First of all, our server (young man with a trim beard, Renato?) was one of the best we've had in over 4 decades of dining out. He was attentive, professional, and personable--bringing another tea to my wife without having to be asked, boxing our left-overs as opposed to tossing boxes on... More

I love Italian food and I have been to several great Italian Restaurants in Greensboro but this one was just okay. The appetizer was $10.00 and was the size of a ping pong ball now it was good but for 2 bites and $10.00 it should have been great. I ordered the seafood ravioli and I got all of 6-7... More

My husband and I visited this wonderful restaurant and the food was amazing. Homemade pasta and well developed flavors is what you will get here. The staff was great and attentive. We will be visiting this restaurant more often.

I don't know how Italians can eat so much and stay trim! This restaurant embodies the Italian idea of multiple LARGE servings of starter plus pasta (primo) and main (secundo) plus dessert! The food was variable, from good to excellent. The scallop starter is excellent, with the scallops on the medium rare side. Tagliolini areagosta pasta, with seafood on a... More

The food was delicious, the staff was excellent. One of the best meals we've had in Greensboro. My only suggestion would be to turn the lights WAY DOWN to make the atmosphere as upscale as the food and service.

I am constantly searching for great Italian food in Greensboro. We enjoyed Osteria, but alas, we still haven't found Italian that can match restaurants up North. However, we certainly enjoyed our meal. The bread (which was good, not great) is served with a cannellini bean topping. Olive Oil would have added to it. Those who got salads said they were... More

Osteria has simply the best Italian food in Greensboro or, perhaps, the best food period. All food is cooked to order and everything is fresh. The fish is always perfectly done and the sauces are outstanding. The service is excellent. This is not a restaurant to go to expecting a fast food experience so sit back and relax.

We visited on a Tuesday night, so the atmosphere was quiet. Service was very nice, attentive without being cloying. Salad and pasta dishes were excellent, and that fills us up, so no room for entree on this trip! I had the squid ink tagliatelle with seafood. Lobster, shrimp and scallops very nicely prepared in a light sauce. Husband had lasagna,... More

The service was professional, just plain excellent. I could not say more about our waitress! The appetizer (crepes) looked great but flavor did not match the presentation, I felt that flavor was somewhat lacking. I had the swordfish. Great presentation and the fish was excellent, best that I have had from fresh fish at the coast. The mashed potatoes were... More

Description
Osteria proudly extends the world famous flavors of the Emilia-Romagna (Bologna) region to Greensboro and offers tastes of the renown Italian cuisine staples of prosciutto, mortadella, parmigiano and balsamic to area diners.
Located at Westover Gallery Shops, our 65 seat restaurant serves up a taste of Italy at lunch and dinner. Our extensive selection of handmade pastas includes traditional items as ravioli, strozzapreti, taglioni, gnocchi and fettucini. Our sauces are made fresh daily and much like the namesake osteria in Italy, focus predominantly on local vegetables and ingredients. Pastas are complemented with our other menu options: salads, fresh grilled choices and varying daily specials. The wine lists features more than 70 affordable selections, focusing primarily on the north central regions of Italy: Emilia-Romagna, Umbria, Tuscany, and Piemonte. The wine list also includes sparkling wines, such as prosecco and lambrusco for that special occasion celebration.
We extend a warm invitation to be our guest at Osteria, where you will be treated to a cordial welcome and an authentic taste of Italy. Our menu changes seasonally to take advantage of the local ingredients. Our wine list also changes accordingly.
