We stumbled across Nirwana Shack and went back many times during our visit, even if it was for a drink. The drinks were very cold and the food was fresh, tasty and very reasonably priced. Great service by the friendly staff. They open 1:30-9pm and are closed on Wednesdays.

We decided to have a break from Indonesian food and thought we would try this after finding it on TA. Food was very good and cheap, we also had two glasses of wine, ( full ones for a change), at only 40k each. We had steamed dim sum and tempura prawns for an entree and both were excellent, especially the... More

What a great little find this was! You know the drill, walk for hours in 90% humidity in search of a cool spot, an affordable graze and a long cool drink. We (literally) stumled upon this small, unassuming cafe and were delighted. Freezing cold Bintang, a scrummy Thai beef salad and King prawn salad arrived in minutes. The chef had... More

Expat area to have a simple meal. I would not say it was authentic or amazing but it was decent. Good if you want to fill up after a long day. A lot of Aussie were there.

We have been here a couple of times and have tried a number of dishes from the menu. All dishes have been exceptionally good, but my two favourite's would have to be the lamb souvlaki and the potato cakes. The beer was icy cold and the service was fantastic. The place is small with heaps of character and we will... More

We live in the area and often call in to this little place . They offer a wide and interesting menu selection from which we are yet to be disappointed. We really like the crispy fish and chips served up with a nice salad and great value at around $5. In fact all food and drinks are sensibly priced and... More
